Abstract: Hangers and methods for supporting an item from a structure. In some examples, the hanger includes a body configured to support the item and lines configured to bear tension, the lines supporting the body from corners of the structure. In some examples, the hanger includes an adjustment mechanism mounted to the body and coupled to the lines, wherein the adjustment mechanism is configured to selectively adjust the position of the body relative to the structure. In some examples, the method includes forming a portion of a first line into a first loop, forming a portion of a second line into a second loop, placing the first loop over the first corner of the structure, placing the second loop over the second corner of the structure, securing the item to the first line, and securing the item to the second line.
Abstract: Disks configured to float on the surface of a body of liquid, including a top member configured to float substantially above the surface of the body of liquid, a bottom member spaced from the top member and configured to float substantially below the surface of the body of liquid, a sidewall extending between the top member and the bottom member along the periphery of the top member and along the periphery of the bottom member, wherein the top member, the bottom member, and the sidewall collectively define a cavity, a chamber mounted within the cavity, the chamber enclosing a predetermined volume of a gas, and a port defined in the sidewall to allow liquid from the body of liquid to enter the cavity, wherein the predetermined volume of gas enclosed in the chamber is selected to impart a buoyancy force sufficient to maintain the disk afloat on the body of liquid with the bottom member a predetermined depth below the member of the body of liquid.
Abstract: Methods and systems for resource and utilization management of telecommunications devices within an enterprise, where the enterprise contracts for telecommunications service from one or more service providers, comprising components configured to receive quantity data corresponding to the amount of telecommunications service used by the enterprise per period into a resource management system including a microprocessor executing programmed instructions, group telecommunications devices into pools of shared use for the telecommunications service, the pools of shared use including one or more telecommunication devices, analyze for each telecommunications device telecommunications services plans available from the service providers to determine the total quantity of telecommunications service provided by the service providers and the cost per unit of telecommunications service, select selected telecommunications service plans for each telecommunications device that accommodate a target quantity of projected teleco
Abstract: An apparatus for receiving and protecting interchangeable camera lenses which includes a cylindrical body shell, having an outer rigid casing with inner and outer diameters, and having an inner soft-lined receptacle within the inner diameter of the body shell for receiving the camera lens; a base end cap; a ringed shaped mouth member having inner and outer diameters; a lid cap assembly; a first visco-elastic material bonded to the lid cap assembly; a second visco-elastic material bonded to the base end cap; and, the first and second visco-elastic materials conform to the shape of the lens when the lid cap assembly is engaged with the mouth member.
Abstract: Methods of forming porous coatings on substrates. Methods of forming porous coatings include preparing a binder, applying the binder to a substrate to form a binder layer, applying a coating material to the binder layer to form a coating material layer, and sintering the coated substrate. In some examples, preparing a binder includes mixing together metal particles including titanium hydride or cobalt disilicide, a polymer including polybutene or poly-isobutylene, a brazing agent, and methyl cellulose. In some examples, the coating material includes titanium or cobalt. Applying the binder may include spray coating the binder onto the substrate.
Abstract: Display apparatuses for displaying a sheet material, including a panel including a front face and a rear face opposite the front face, a protuberance projecting from the front face, and a cap mounted to the protuberance in a position spaced from the front face to define a gap between the cap and the front face on at least one lateral side of the protuberance, wherein the gap has a thickness substantially similar to the thickness of the sheet material to secure the sheet material within the gap when the sheet material is inserted into the gap.
Abstract: The present invention comprises a method of enhancing illumination by a variety of lamp types through the use of reflective technologies, for example, replacement of expensive high intensity density of mercury vapor lamps with low wattage fluorescent tubes having at least one and in some cases, up to three reflective surfaces for focusing otherwise lost light toward a target illumination area. Further, the placement of light sources at the focal point of said reflective surfaces aids in optimizing the amount of light focused in a desired direction.
