  • Patent number: 8342806
Abstract: A vinyl cover for a ceiling fan to aid in keeping them clean and free from dust, particularly during non-use, is herein disclosed. The cover comprises a large, circular vinyl cover with a slightly larger diameter than that of the ceiling fan blades, further bifurcated into a two (2)-piece “pancake”-style design with a small diameter aperture in the center to accommodate a support pole for the ceiling fan. An upper piece is provided with a zipper that runs from the aperture to the outer perimeter. This zipper is opened to slide the cover over the ceiling fan blades and motor and then shut. In such a manner the ceiling fan assembly is kept clean and free from dust build-up when not in use. When needed again, it is simply opened, removed, and folded away for storage, leaving the ceiling fan clean and ready to operate.

  • Patent number: 8344293
Abstract: A solar-powered heat tape system for gas well regulators and other remotely located equipment is herein disclosed. The system comprises a solar power panel mounted atop a mast which provides electrical power to a rechargeable battery system through a charge controller. The output power of the battery is then routed through an AC power inverter. The AC power is then routed to a length of electrical heat tape that is used the keep gas regulators and other equipment from freezing during cold weather. All major electrical components with the exception of the solar panel and the heat tape are contained in a weatherproof and lockable electrical cabinet. The system thus provides electrical power at remote locations to protect plumbing, miscellaneous equipment, testing equipment, telemetry equipment, and the like from freezing.

  • Patent number: 8345403
Abstract: An apparatus to aid in the removal of refrigerant from direct expansion air-conditioning systems is herein disclosed. The apparatus enables the manual activation of solenoid valves or check valves typically provided on direct expansion air-conditioning systems. A solenoid valve must be energized to allow complete access to the refrigerant in order to allow complete evacuation of the system. The apparatus is connected to a power source and a plurality of switches enables selection of 120V operation or 24V operation. The apparatus further comprises transformers, fuses, and the like to provide complete protection to the user. Final connection to the solenoid valve is made through the use of a long power lead supplied with alligator clips. The apparatus is housed in a convenient enclosure allowing for easy storage and transportation.

  • Patent number: 8336884
Abstract: A water dousing target game in which water is dumped upon a player when a target is hit with a projective includes a support stand, a water reservoir, and a drop mechanism having a trip rod and a paddle mechanism with a target. The stand assembly is height-adjustable having a plurality of stabilizing legs. The water reservoir is located at a top end of the support stand. The drop mechanism includes a bottom panel hingedly covering an open bottom of the reservoir having an attached trip rod releasably supported by the paddle mechanism. The paddle mechanism includes an arm rotatably connected to the support stand and the target having a flat enlarged end. When the target is struck with a projectile, the paddle arm rotates and releases the trip rod support, causing the bottom panel of the reservoir to hinge open and drop the contents on another person.

  • Patent number: 8336554
Abstract: A device to hold one's foot in a neutral position while sitting in order to aid in healing includes a large plastic panel with a set of parallel plastic strips extending upward. These strips are adjustable upon the surface of the board using a series of small holes and corresponding pins. The strips are thus aligned to match the width of one's foot being held in a shoe. When aligned upon the floor, the foot, in a normal shoe without the use of a brace, is held in a neutral position which helps prevent contracture of the leg and foot muscles thus promoting faster healing after surgery. Additionally, the current device does not provide for pinching or twisting as commonly occurs with conventional prosthetic braces.
