Abstract: A parking brake apparatus for an automatic transmission vehicle in one embodiment includes a parking shaft connected to a shift lever, a cam plate secured to the parking shaft, a parking rod assembly operated when the cam plate secured to the parking shaft rotates through manipulation of the shift lever, and a parking gear meshed with a sprag which is actuated by the parking rod assembly. The apparatus comprises a driving section having a driving motor assembly for driving the parking shaft such that the sprag can be engaged with or disengaged from the parking gear when the shift lever is manipulated between P and R, and operating to ensure that a rotational force of a driving motor is added to a disengaging force of the parking rod assembly for disengaging the sprag engaged with the parking gear when the disengaging force is insufficient.
Abstract: A water jacket for a cylinder head is disclosed. The water jacket comprises a coolant flow channel formed between a coolant inlet and a coolant outlet for allowing the coolant to flow in the cylinder head. Coolant flow regulation parts are provided in the coolant flow channel for accomplishing smooth flow of the coolant between exhaust ports corresponding to respective combustion chambers, and a coolant flow distribution part is provided in the coolant flow channel for uniformly distributing flow of the coolant between the exhaust ports corresponding to the respective combustion chambers. According to the present invention, delay of the coolant flowing between the exhaust ports corresponding to the respective combustion chambers is prevented, and thus a cooling efficiency of the cylinder head is improved.
Abstract: The invention concerns amide derivatives of Formula (I) wherein: R1 and R2 include hydroxy, C1-6alkoxy, mercapto, C1-6akylthio, amino and heterocyclyl; m and p are independently 0-3; R3 is halo, cyano or C1-6alkoxy; q is 0-4; and R4 is aryl or cycloalkyl wherein R4 is optionally substituted with up to 3 substituents having any value defined for each R1 group; or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt or in-vivo-cleavable ester thereof; processes for their preparation, pharmaceutical compositions containing them and their use in the treatment of diseases or medical conditions mediated by cytokines.
Abstract: A motor speed controller which detects the position y(i-k) of a motor at the time K.multidot.Ts (k.gtoreq.0, Ts: sampling period) ago from the present time (i) and feedback-controls the speed of the motor by using a motor speed feedback signal Vfb calculated based on the detection signal is provided with a means which calculates a torque command u(i) from a speed command and the motor speed feedback signal vfb, means which calculates the speed v(i-k) from the position y(i-k), means which stores the values of the speed v(i-m) (m=k, . . . , M') from M' sampling periods before to the time i-K, a predictor which predicts the speed prediction value v*(i+m) (m=-K+1, . . . , M) at the times up to M sampling periods after from the dynamic characteristic model of the motor, the torque command u(i), and the position y(i-K), and means which finds the speed feedback signal from formula: ##EQU1## where Wm and W'm represent weight factors.
Abstract: A self-contained drafting instrument adapted for rapid measurement of diagrams or drawings on a surface. The instrument utilizes an internal movement detection mechanism, an electronics processing system, and a display screen capable of graphical representation. The movement detection mechanism measures both orthogonal components of movement and the display screen provides a scale that electronically scrolls as the instrument moves or by manually pressing a key on a keyboard. The drafting instrument can be constructed in a number of orientations including a ruler, drafting triangle, protractor, or T-square.
