Abstract: A system and method for detecting and tracking multiple objects on a touchpad or touchscreen, wherein the method provides a new data collection algorithm, wherein the method reduces a calculation burden on a processor performing detection and tracking algorithms, wherein multiple objects are treated as elements of a single object and not as separate objects, wherein the location of the objects are treated as end-points of a single object when two objects are detected, and treated as a perimeter or boundary when more than two objects are detected.

Abstract: A tool is provided that is capable of friction stir processing, friction stir mixing, and friction stir welding of high melting temperature and low melting temperature materials, wherein the collar is now divided into at least an inner and an outer collar coupled to the shank and the FSW tip, wherein new thermal barriers enable expansion of the inner collar to be directed inward to thereby create compression on the FSW tip instead of allowing the FSW tip to become loose in the tool at elevated temperatures.

Abstract: A mill liner element is structured with an elongated elastomer member having a non-elastomeric backing plate and a plurality of non-elastomeric inserts formed into the elastomer member to provide a liner element that provides a lifter bar element and a wear element that is less prone to cracking compared to conventional all-metal mill lining elements, and which provides ease of handling and replacement when worn. A multiplicity of mill liner elements are positionable in a grinding mill shell, and are suitable for use in a variety of types of grinding mill structures, including ball mills and AG and SAG mills.

Abstract: A comestible, water-based composition containing natural ingredients provides an effective amount of at least one active ingredient selected to reduce the proliferation of bacteria in the mouth of animals to treat and improve the dental health of animals. The composition can be administered to animals in the form of their daily intake of water and may be especially packaged for ready use and consumption by animals in pre-packaged and portable doses. Compositions containing natural ingredients and formulated as toothpastes for animal dental care are also provided.
Abstract: The vehicle, for example a stand-up wheelchair, comprises a frame (11) and, arranged on the latter, a seat device (19). On each side of the frame (11), the central wheel (13), which can be driven by a motor (27), and the front wheel (15) are operatively connected to each other by an endless chain (45). The frame (11) has a front part (21) and a rear part (23), which are connected to each other in an articulated manner by way of a joint (25). In the sitting position, the front wheels (15) are not in contact with the ground, which means that they do not obstruct the manoeuvring of the vehicle in a confined space. In the standing position, the front wheels (15) are in contact with the ground, but the central wheels (13) are not. The user, in the standing position, is thus able to turn about the axis of the vehicle, without the central wheels (13) having a blocking action.
Abstract: A reactor for contacting a fluid with a granular solid, the reactor including: a reactor housing including a reaction zone in which the fluid and the granular solid are contacted together; a granular solids inlet adapted to deliver a bed of granular solids into the reaction zone wherein the height and/or width dimension of the bed of the granular solids is substantially less than the length of the bed; a plurality of fluid inlets for delivering the fluid into the reaction zone, whereby the delivery of the fluid into the reaction zone at least partially fluidises the bed of granular solids; a granular solids outlet for receiving the bed of granular solids after having passed through the reaction zone; and, a fluid outlet for receiving the fluid, and any entrained particles, after the fluid has passed through the reaction zone.
Abstract: A baby carrier comprising a shoulder harness featuring a detachable adjustable pouch system that may be worn or alternatively fastened to a secured object for supporting an infant. The shoulder harness features retractable shoulder straps that may be used to securely extend the detachable adjustable pouch system away from wearer without having to detach the pouch or remove the infant while simultaneously allowing the wearer face to face access with the infant. The detachable adjustable pouch system may encapsulate and support an infant in a substantially upright sitting position. The detachable adjustable pouch system may be adjusted to accommodate infants of varying sizes. The weight of the infant may be incorporated as a design component of the seat portion of the pouch system.
Abstract: A turbocharger system for a combustion engine and method of installing a turbocharger system includes a turbocharger having an oil inlet and an oil outlet configured for being coupled to an oiling system. An oil pump is connected to the oil outlet of the turbocharger and is further connected to the oiling system. The turbocharger system also includes mounting hardware for mounting the turbocharger to an exhaust pipe away from the engine at or below the oil level of the oiling system. In one embodiment, the method of installing the turbocharger system includes removing an existing muffler from the vehicle and mounting the turbocharger at or near the location of the existing muffler.
Abstract: A grade bracket for use with concrete form systems is disclosed. In one embodiment, the grade bracket forms part of a concrete form system that includes a plurality of form components, including straight forms, curved radius forms, and skin panels for interconnecting form components. The form components are assembled atop a ground surface and are configured to define a volume for containing poured concrete. Grade brackets for supporting the form components at a desired grade above the ground are used. Each grade bracket includes a body, a form support member, and a grade knob. The form support member attaches to the body and includes a bracket portion that supports the form component. The grade knob includes an eye-bolt. A stake secured in the ground is selectively engaged by the eye-bolt of the grade knob such that the grade bracket is maintained at a desired position on the stake.
Abstract: A pump housing assembly which includes a pump casing and a liner, where the pump casing includes at least two parts which are adapted to be connected together in an assembled position with the pump casing having opposed front and rear sides and a common junction region which is disposed within one or more planes which pass through the front and rear sides of the assembled pump casing, the liner being formed in one piece and having sealing portions that are activated to provide a seal between the liner and the pump casing.
Abstract: In a rotodynamic pump, a seal chamber conditioning valve mechanism is positioned at least partially within the seal chamber of the pump to selectively and intermittently deliver fluid to or discharge contents from the seal chamber to modify the condition or content of the seal chamber and effectively protect the mechanical seal from failure due to, for example, built up solids or the presence of air. The conditioning valve mechanism may be actuated by a control device in communication with monitoring apparatus that determines the condition of the seal chamber, and particularly the mechanical seal face.
