Abstract: An optic disk drive includes a casing, the inside of which a driving unit is arranged. The driving unit includes a motor for rotating a disk driving wheel mounted therein. A disk holding arm is pivoted to the casing and extends above the casing to define a spacing therebetween for removably receiving a disk tray supporting an optic disk thereon to position the optic disk between a disk holding wheel rotatably provided on the disk holding arm and the disk driving wheel. The disk holding wheel holds the optic disk against the disk driving wheel to allow the optic disk to be driven by the motor. A vibration absorbing device includes a plate-like body having a front extension provided on a front edge of the body and two rear extensions provided on an opposite rear edge of the body.

  • Patent number: 5727652
Abstract: A device for draining engine oil in a DIY manner including an oil drain screw bolt, a valve, an oil drain tube, a spring element, and a control cable. The screw bolt has a cylindrical rod portion having a drain hole at the center, and a head portion having an oil outlet at one side communicating with the drain hole. The outer end of the oil outlet forms a threaded section of a larger diameter. The head portion is provided with a through hole in a direction perpendicular to the oil outlet. The valve is provided with a rod at a front end for receiving a spring. A front end of the rod is connected to a pull strap. The valve is locked in the through hole of the screw bolt by a sunk-head screw. The oil drain tube has a rotary connecting portion at a front end for locking in the threaded section of the oil outlet. A control valve is provided at a rear end of the oil drain tube. The control cable forms a hook portion at a front end thereof and is passed through a small duct at one side of the oil drain tube.

  • Patent number: 5726631
Abstract: A kick-activated wearable alarm for infants is provided that includes three temperature sensors and a main controller unit installed in a belt pack. The belt pack is directly worn around the abdominal section of an infant and operates in conjunction with an external receiver, whereby the disclosed structure offers total kicking and fever sensing performance. The belt pack is installed around the abdominal section of an infant with two of the three sensors respectively placed in an exposed state at the anterior and posterior aspects of the abdominal section and the other sensor being placed inside the clothing of the infant. Whether the infant kicks while asleep or awake, or when a fever develops that raises body temperature, the three temperature sensors are connected to a conductor interfaced to the main controller unit. The main controller unit transfers the sensed signal to an external receiver, which emits of an audible alarm.

  • Patent number: 5725721
Abstract: A mechanism of a band attaching device of a case sealing machine for preventing the band from falling down. A fourth band guiding wheel is disposed under the band stopper boards and movable on the front band pressing wheel support. When the fourth band guiding wheel is positioned at a lowest position, the front edge of the outer surface of the fourth band guiding wheel intersects the band stopper boards and the band is forced to move downward and linearly contact with the band stopper boards on the adhesive face. At this time, the band is urged to forward project into an arch state so as to enhance the upright standing ability of the band without falling down.

  • Patent number: 5725638
Abstract: A modular dust collection plate assembly (10) for use in an electrostatic precipitator is provided. The dust collection plate assembly (10) includes at least one panel member (100) and at least one waveform member (200) releasably coupled together. The panel member (100) is characterized by a substantially planar contour, having first and second faces on opposing sides thereof which are commonly bounded laterally by a pair of lateral edge portions (110, 110) extending in a longitudinal direction. The waveform member (200) also extends in the longitudinal direction and is characterized by a predetermined curvilinear cross-sectional contour that enables the waveform member (200) to disrupt at least a portion of the gaseous flow that would pass across it during operation in an electrostatic precipitator.
