Abstract: A two way check valve used in a water supply system including a hollow valve body forming a valve chamber with first and second valve seats located in this chamber. The body has an inlet and two outlet ports. A valve or gate member is mounted in the valve body and is capable of pivoting between the first valve seat and the second seat. An elongate coil spring biases the valve member to pivot towards and engage the first seat. Water can flow under pressure from the inlet to a first of the outlet ports but not to the second outlet port. Water can flow in a reverse direction into the first outlet port and is diverted by the valve member out through the second outlet port. The reverse flow is prevented from flowing out the valve inlet.
Abstract: A perpetual calendar has a cylindrical outer casing having several viewing apertures formed therein. The casing displays on an outer surface thereof in seven vertical columns the dates of the month from one to twenty-eight. One of the apertures is positioned to display up to three additional dates of the month after the numeral 28. An inner cylinder is rotatably mounted in the outer casing and coaxial therewith. This cylinder displays on an exterior surface thereof the 12 months of the year and also month ending date or dates for months having more than 28 days. This cylinder is rotatable to display the current month through one aperture and correct month ending date or dates for that month through another aperture. Also, a ring is mounted for rotation in the outer casing and is coaxial with this casing. The ring displays on its exterior surface data for indicating days of the week.
Abstract: A hanger is disclosed for use with a fishing line to a lure and provides rigid arms, suspended from a float, through whose distal ends the line is threaded the combination. In this way, movement of one part of the device will serve to effect movement of the other parts of the combination depending on the geometry of the arms.
Abstract: A fluid containing mattress including exterior support in the form of side frames and a bottom support. Flexible, contractible bellows are distributed over the bottom support and are connected thereto. Tubing connects the bellows to adjacent bellows to permit fluid flow between them. A selected amount of fluid is provided in the bellows. A top cover including a cushion extends over the bellows. Coil springs are mounted on top of the bellows and support the top cover. Elastomeric members connect each coil spring to adjacent coil springs.
Abstract: A vessel for maintaining a heated liquid hot, includes a receptacle to house the heated liquid, having an electrical heating element integral therewith and power connection leads electrically connected to the heating element; the vessel may suitably include a cup and support plate suitable for coffee and similar hot beverages.
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus for paint spray gun assemblies includes a cleaning cabinet, a paint cleaning fluid flow-line system and a pneumatic system for circulation of the cleaning fluid through the flow-line system; fluid outlets in the flow-line system eject cleaning fluid under pressure within the cabinet; paint spray guns are supported in the cabinet with paint passage interiors of the guns in direct fluid flow communication with fluid outlets; typically there is a plurality of fluid outlets for cleaning a plurality of spray gun assemblies simultaneously, a time control in the pneumatic system interrupts the circulation of cleaning fluid with a predetermined period, usually less than 60 seconds.
Abstract: A container body is formed of a polymer material and contains coloring matter effective to render the body substantially opaque to electromagnetic radiation having a wave length of about 5 to about 600 nm and translucent or semi-transparent to electromagnetic radiation having a wave length of about 600 to about 800 nm. The container permits storage and transport of photosensitive fluids, for example, body fluids for test purposes which contain bilirubin and other photo-degradable substances, but at the same time the contents of the container body are apparent from visual inspection.

Abstract: A tubular elongate pole comprises a pole wall having a plurality of small diameter wires embedded in a polymer-containing matrix bonded to the wires to form an encapsulating shell of relatively low weight and which is substantially impermeable to aqueous corrosive liquids; the matrix has a density greater than that of concrete conventionally employed in reinforced concrete poles and yet the pole is considerably lighter in weight and indeed of a weight comparable to that of a wood pole.
Abstract: A folding table includes a table top and two pairs of legs with each pair located adjacent a respective end of the top and pivotally connected thereto. Seats at each side of the table are supported on transverse bars carried by the pairs of legs. The seats have tracks extending longitudinally along the bottom of the seats. Slide members are mounted in the tracks and each pivotally connects a respective end of a transverse bar to its respective track. There are means for selectively maintaining each pair of legs in a standing position when the table is unfolded. In a preferred embodiment, the maintaining means include two brace members each hinged at one end thereof to a respective one of the transverse bars. The other end of each brace member is detachably connected to the underside of the table top.
Abstract: A device for catching and hitting a ball, such as a tennis ball, including a pocket adapted to catch a ball, closed at one end and open at the other end, and a hand enclosure in which is a handle for holding the device. A loop-forming frame extends from and is connected to one side of the enclosure and the open end of the pocket is connected to this frame. The preferred device has three exterior surfaces provided thereon and adapted for hitting a ball. A ball game can be played with the device either by a lone player or by a number of players.
