Abstract: An aspect of the invention provides an image forming unit that includes: an image forming unit main body including an image carrier; a housing of the image forming unit main body, the housing having at least one opening having concave parts at edge parts facing each other in the opening; and a connection element suspended with fracture parts between the edge parts facing each other in the opening, the fracture parts located within the concave parts. At least a part of the connection element corresponding to the image carrier is removable at the fracture parts.
Abstract: An electric motor includes: a stator of columnar shape including a stator core of annular shape and mold resin molding the stator core, the stator core accommodating a rotor configured to rotate about a rotary shaft; and a position detecting circuit board including a position detecting element configured to detect a position of the rotor. The stator has a cavity for accommodating the rotor. One end of the cavity is covered by the mold resin. The position detecting circuit board is placed on an opposite side from the rotor across the mold resin covering the one end of the cavity.

The lighting unit also includes: the prisms (50) and (60) combining the light emitted from the DMDs (80R), (80G), and (80B); and the light modulating optical device (90G). The incident light including the green component light and the yellow component light enters the light modulating optical device (90G). The light modulating optical device (90G) transmits the green component light and changes a transmittance of the yellow component light depending on a change of a molecular state. Light having emitted from the light modulating optical device (90G) enters the DMD (80G), which corresponds to the incident light.

Methods of biotic fertilizer manufacture are presented that utilize animal waste product as well as desirable compositions obtained thereby.

Abstract: An image display device includes a light source which emits laser light; an optical element which is operable to switch between a first state for reducing a coherence of the laser light and a second state for substantially maintaining the coherence of the laser light; a switching control circuit which controls the optical element; an imager which modulates the laser light transmitted through the optical element; and a modulation control circuit which controls the imager based on an image signal. The modulation control circuit causes the imager to render an image pattern for generating an image by changing alight amount at each pixel position when the optical element is in the first state, and causes the imager to render a hologram pattern for generating an image by diffraction when the optical element is in the second state.

Abstract: First and second nodes generate numeric string elements from time interval by their physical changes. The first node generates a basic numeric string from the numeric string elements and similar numeric strings, encrypts the generated basic numeric string and the similar numeric strings, and generates a cipher value list that stores the numeric strings with corresponding cipher values. The second node generates a basic numeric string based on the numeric string elements generated by the second node, encrypts the generated basic numeric string in accordance with the same encryption rule as that for the first node, and transmits the generated cipher value to the first node. The first node receives a cipher value from the second node, and compares the received cipher value with the cipher values in the cipher value list to find a match, and transmits a match signal if a match is found.

For instance, a transparent flat plate is disposed in front of a projection lens, and the transparent flat plate is tilted in association with a rotation of a zoom adjustment ring. As the transparent flat plate is tilted, the apparent position of the display device relative to the projection lens is displaced in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis of the projection optical system. Thereby, the projected image on a screen is located at a proper position corresponding to a zoom state. Tilt control of the transparent flat plate is realized by a cam mechanism, for instance.

The polarization adjusting element transmits the superimposed component light, whereas transmitting the fourth color component light by adjusting the polarization of the fourth color component light in accordance with switching between a low voltage applied state and a high voltage applied state. The controller controls re-orienting operation of applying a high voltage to the polarization adjusting element.
