  • Patent number: 6953535
Abstract: The invention relates to a redox initiator system which allows dental formulations to be cured in acidic medium by way of a free-radical polymerization and which ensures a high level of adhesion of the polymerizing composition to the hard substances of the teeth, namely enamel and, in particular, dentine. The redox initiator system comprises the following constituents: (A) from 14.9 to 50% by weight of a barbituric acid or thiobarbituric acid and/or of a barbituric or thiobarbituric acid derivative, (B) from 30 to 75% by weight of a peroxodisulfate compound and/or peroxodiphosphate compound, (C) from 10 to 35% by weight of a sulfinic acid compound, and (D) from 0.1 to 5% by weight of a copper compound.

  • Patent number: 6952808
Abstract: A graphical user interface for providing real-time process information to a user with regard to a process that is operable under control of one or more process variables includes a scale extending along a gauge axis and one or more bars extending along the gauge axis. Each bar is representative of a set of high and low process limit values for a process variable. Further, the graphical user interface includes a graphical shape displayed along the gauge axis representative of a current value of the process variable. A computer implemented method for providing the graphical user interface is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6843997
Abstract: The present invention provides methods directed to detecting antibodies that specifically bind to a varicella zoster polypeptide, detecting the presence of a varicella zoster virus in an animal, diagnosing a disease caused by varicella zoster virus, and detecting a varicella zoster virus having a single nucleotide polymorphism in ORF68. The present invention also provides a vaccine composition, a method for producing a modified attenuated varicella zoster virus, isolated polynucleotides, and isolated polypeptides, and viruses.
