Patent number: 4336723Abstract: A power transmission for engines, motors, pumps and the like comprises a power shaft mounted to rotate about a fixed axis, an eccentric in the form of a tapered bar having arcuate ends secured on the power shaft to turn therewith, a power transmission ring having a circular internal bearing surface contacting the arcuate ends of the eccentric, a plurality of cranks connected to the power transmission ring by crankpins, each crank having a crankshaft journaled to turn about a fixed axis which is parallel to the power shaft. Power may be applied to any of the crankshafts by a motor coupled to the crankshaft or power may be applied to any crankpin by a pitman connecting the piston of an internal combustion engine or fluid motor to the crankpin. In either case, the power applied imparts non-rotary, planetary motion to the power transmission ring to turn the eccentric about the axis of the power shaft, thereby rotating the power shaft at the same speed at which each of the cranks is rotated but with more torque.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 1980Date of Patent: June 29, 1982Inventor: Jose M. Barcita

Patent number: 4335477Abstract: A tool is disclosed for installing and releasing one-piece cable ties of the self-locking type which include an elongated strap having a series of pawl engaging detents thereon, and a head at one end thereof provided with an opening therethrough for receiving the other end of the strap and a pawl yieldably mounted in the head inclined partially across the opening for engagement with at least one of the detents on the strap when the other end of the strap is inserted through the opening. The tool comprises an elongated shank having a handle portion and a blade support portion forward of the handle portion, and a thin flat primary blade projecting outwardly from the blade support portion and insertable in the head of the cable tie between the strap and the pawl to release the pawl from engagement with detents on the strap so that the other end of the strap may be withdrawn from the head.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 1980Date of Patent: June 22, 1982Inventor: William M. Halstead

Patent number: 4335060Abstract: A fuel vapor producing device comprising a liquid fuel or mixture bowl-shape container; an associated cover for said container having a fuel inlet valve; and a float secured in said device, said cover integrally incorporating therewith a cylindrical air filter housing disposed vertically and concentrically on top thereof; an air agitator duct integrated in said device extending from the air filter housing to the bottom thereto to agitate the fuel or mixture therein; another air duct in said air filter housing, said air duct extending to the inside of said container having an outwardly bent portion to produce a swirling effect of the air to achieve a higher degree of mixture; a multi air jet selector disc provided on said air filter housing, said selector disc having a plurality of spaced holes of gradually increasing apertures adapted to the air duct opening on said housing, the opening of said air ducts depending on the requirement of an engine piston displacement to control the air-fuel mixture of the enginType: GrantFiled: March 24, 1980Date of Patent: June 15, 1982Inventors: Adolfo P. Alegre, Armando E. Guidote, Alfonso G. Puyat

Patent number: 4313572Abstract: An adjustable flow rate nozzle for atomizing liquids comprises a tubular-like body for conducting a liquid under pressure having a discharge end terminating in a single plane surface, a structured device having a single plane surface which is attached with its plane surface contiguous with the plane surface of the tubular-like conduit and a slit-like aperature formed between the single plane surfaces of the tubular-like conduit and the structured device. The size of the slit-like aperture and thus the atomized flow rate is adjustable by securing structured devices to cooperate with the discharge end of the tubular-like body. The tubular body contains a main feed cavity of relatively large circular cross section and at least one corona cavity which is elongated outwardly from the main feed cavity. The corona cavity includes a pair of spaced sidewalls extending outwardly from the main feed cavity and an arcuate end wall joining the spaced side walls remote from the main feed cavity.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 1980Date of Patent: February 2, 1982Assignee: Patent Development of N.C.Inventor: George C. Patent number: 4313357Abstract: Apparatus is provided for supporting the end portion of a workpiece blank which extends through and to the rear of power shear blades. The apparatus includes a table top and a frame supporting the table top. The front portion of the table top is supported for limited vertical displacement by rollers on opposite sides of the table engaged in horizontal track sections of vertically displaceable tracks interposed between the table top and the frame. The rear portion of the table top is separately supported by reciprocating rear table supports on opposite sides of the table top, the rear table supports being guided for vertical displacement in vertical ways provided on opposite sides of the frame. The table top is displaceable downwardly in response to downward movement of the movable shear blade, and is tiltable rearwardly after initial downward displacement by reason of the rear table supports being allowed greater downward displacement than the rollers supporting the front portion of the table top.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 1980Date of Patent: February 2, 1982Assignee: Wysong & Miles CompanyInventor: Paul F.
