Patent number: 4995652Abstract: A latch is disclosed which is both rugged and economical. The latch includes a flanged housing which acts as a bushing for a journal portion of an operator. The operator includes a narrowed and recessed handle portion. At the inner end of the operator, a generally planar striker is placed to the interior of a door to interact with the frame. The striker rotates with respect to the housing and is limited in rotation by a stop which interacts with the housing. The striker is secured to the operator by connector means to prevent relative movement between them. The housing is fixed to the door by securement means which draws the flange of the housing against the exterior of the door.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 1989Date of Patent: February 26, 1991Assignee: Frank A. Patent number: 4993986Abstract: The fuzz blower power tube of the present invention disclosed herein agitates floats in generally non laminar fluid flow to cause the floats to acquire a static charge. The charged floats repel each other and may cling to portions of the tube of opposite charge. The fuzz blower power tube includes as principal components a ventilated container, fluid, fan, motor and floats. The ventilatd container has an intake for receiving fluid within the container and an exhaust for expelling the fluid which flows through at least one of the means. The fan, causes the fluid to flow and transport the floats from a upstream to a downstream position and collide with each other and other portions of the container.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1989Date of Patent: February 19, 1991Inventor: Steven L. Bloomfield

Each is fabricated from woven webbing. The upper restraint is of predetermined length having a plurality of loops for inserting the straps therethrough and is adapted to be disposed adjacent the spine of the animal. The lower restraint is of predetermined length having a plurality of loops for inserting the straps therethrough and is adapted to be disposed adjacent the stomach and chest of the animal. The front strap is secured to the upper and lower restrainsts by being passed through forward loops. A buckle, disposed to an end of the front strap, adjusts the front loop circumference. The rear strap is attached to a rearward loop of said upper restraint and a corresponding loop of said lower restraint and also has a buckle for adjusting the circumference of a rear loop.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 1989Date of Patent: November 20, 1990Assignee: Therese G. Patent number: 4555033Abstract: A railway car underframe center sill includes a drawbar structure which includes a rigid housing structure adapted to fit into the cushion pocket of the sill supporting the cushion. The rigid housing is readily removable if desired and includes a rigid end plate having a truncated opening which contains a truncated hemispherical reaction member which pivots in any direction. The drawbar is supported on the center sill for movement in true rotation and is provided at its inner end with an impact head at all times in flush contact with the hemispherical reaction member. The end of the drawbar includes a drawbar key structure secured in place by means of the draft key. The housing structure is securely maintained in position against a stop by a wedge member which is self-adjusting downwardly as wear may occur and thus insures a contact rigid effective assembly. This assembly provides a slackless condition in the drawbar attachment between companion units of a railway freight car.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 1983Date of Patent: November 26, 1985Assignee: Pullman Standard, Inc.Inventor: Roy W.
