Abstract: A tourniquet providing for generation of an alarm signal upon passage of a predetermined time after the tourniquet is placed on the patient's limb. The tourniquet includes an elongate flexible body having a pair of spaced-apart connection locations for attachment to secure the body in circumscribing relationship about the limb. A signal alarm is placed in transmission continuity with the connection locations for establishing a complete transmission circuit upon attachment of the connection locations. The signal alarm is placed in a signal generating condition upon completion of the transmission circuit.
