  • Patent number: 6237372
Abstract: Device for the attachment of feeders in circular machines for knitted fabrics, according to which, in the upper and outer pail of the feeder body, there is arranged, between the body and the fixed part of the machine, a joint with shaft tangent to a circle that is perpendicular to the central shaft of the machine. Thus, by means of a turn, it is possible to move the feeder between a working position situated toward the interior of the machine and a position toward the exterior of the machine in which the feeder is raised outside the working area.

  • Patent number: 6230616
Abstract: A storage device for receiving a loop section of a flexible material web (8) moved in a conveying direction (18) between a feed area upstream of the storage device and a discharge area downstream thereof is described, the material web speeds at least periodically differing from one another in the feed area and the discharge area. The speed differences are compensated by a length change of the loop section stored in the storage device. On the feed side the storage device has a first pulling device formed by a suction belt (35, 55) and on the discharge side a separate, second pulling device formed by a parallel suction belt (35, 56). As a result of the parallel suction belts the drawn-in loop section is securely held by vacuum over most of its length, whereas between the pulling devices a tensile force-free loop partial section (4a) is moved to and fro in the store longitudinal direction with substantially no shape change in accordance with the store filling.

  • Patent number: 6212890
Abstract: A geothermal power plant operating on geothermal fluid includes a source of low pressure geothermal steam, and a turbo-generator including a low pressure steam turbine to which the geothermal steam is applied, and a generator coupled to the steam turbine. The low pressure geothermal steam is applied to the turbine, wherein expansion takes place driving the generator, and producing expanded steam that is exhausted from the turbine. A condenser for condensing the expanded steam includes a steam heat exchanger for receiving the expanded steam and a fan for cooling the expanded steam such that steam condensate is produced.

  • Patent number: 6207942
Abstract: A reflected beam 6 is diffracted by regions 7a and 7b of a hologram 71, these diffracted beams are converged or diverged, and ±1-order diffracted beams from each region are received by light-receiving regions 9a+to 9b−arranged apart from the center of the hologram by a distance almost optically equal to the distance between the center point of the hologram and a convergence (focal) point of the 0-order reflected beam. Three signals obtained from three regions of each light-receiving region are calculated to obtain a focus signal, and, at the same time, signals obtained from four regions of each light-receiving region are calculated to obtain a tracking signal, so that, by using both the ±1-order diffracted beams, a focus error signal detected by the SSD method and a tracking error signal detected by the DPD method are simultaneously obtained with high efficiency and high precision.
