  • Patent number: 4309784
Abstract: A pillow-display case for housing and displaying various objects such as mementos, collections of small items and the like is disclosed. The pillow is of conventional construction, and has a transparent flexible overlay sheet covering a substantial portion of, and attached at its peripheral edges to, at least one face of the pillow. The space thus created between the transparent sheet and the pillow's face constitutes a display pocket, with reclosable pocket access means provided for introducing, arranging and removing the objects to be displayed.

  • Patent number: 4289489
Abstract: An idler pulley, which adjusts itself to variable power transmission speeds by providing a wide range of effective pulley diameters automatically, is disclosed. In its preferred form, the pulley has four spindles with freely rotating sleeves, two directed inwardly from either side, all positioned in the same plane and in changeable circular orbit, for guiding the power transmission belt or chain used with the pulley. The size of the circular orbit of the spindles, corresponding to the effective pulley diameter, is permitted to vary with the power transmission speed by the scissors-like action of the pulley side assemblies which support the spindles.

  • Patent number: 4286806
Abstract: A spark-generating mechanism for mounting on, and for use in combination with, a roller skate or roller skateboard. The mechanism includes a support bracket adapted to be attached to the skating device, to carry rotatably a grindstone wheel between two larger actuating wheels and to hold a spark producing element in resilient contact with the grindstone wheel. Positioned to be inoperative during normal skating, the spark-generating mechanism may be actuated at will by the skater's slightly backward tilting of the roller skating device while in motion.

  • Patent number: 4108429
Abstract: An exercise device primarily for developing female breast measurement includes an upper-body support base upon which the exerciser, in a supine position, maintains her shoulders and upper back during use. A pair of rigid connecting members are symmetrically, pivotally and detachably mounted for rotation around the corners of the support base adjacent to the shoulders of the user. Attached to the outer end of each connecting member is a coil torsion spring which serves as a yieldably resistant hinge between the connecting member and a rigid exercise lever arm which normally extends upwardly and outwardly from the support base. A head support may be provided which is attached to and projects from the support base.
