  • Patent number: 6751618
Abstract: An apparatus for and method of utilizing an internet terminal coupled to the world wide web to access an existing proprietary data base management system having a dialog-based request format. The multiple file upload user request is received by a web server from the world wide web. Each of the files is stored in a different temporary file created to buffer the uploaded files until they are processed. Following processing, the temporary files are deleted. Through the use of this feature, an application developer can make efficient multiple file data transfers from a user terminal without the need to analyze the transfer in binary form.

  • Patent number: 6370588
Abstract: An apparatus for and method of utilizing an internet terminal coupled to the world wide web to access an existing proprietary data base management system having a dialog-based request format. The user request is received by a web server from the world wide web and converted into an object consisting of one or more sequenced data base management commands. An expiration date corresponding to the object is checked. If the object is obsolete, a diagnostic message is sent to the requester. Otherwise the data base management commands are sequentially presented to the data base management system and the intermediate products stored. After all of the sequenced data base management commands have been executed, the web server combines the intermediate products to form a complete response to the initial user request. An MIME type is accessed from a storage facility and appended to the complete response. The response containing the MIME type is transferred to the user over the world wide web.

  • Patent number: 6341181
Abstract: A finite impulse response digital filter is designed for boosting mid-spatial frequencies as opposed to the frequencies near the sensor resolution limit. The digital filter's boost is centered on frequencies at about half the Nyquist frequency. To prevent over-boosting or enhancement of noise, the detail signal can be run through a coring filter to remove any low amplitude detail signal that resulted from noise.

  • Patent number: 5984342
Abstract: A towing apparatus for motorcycles and recreational vehicles having a single-wheel design. A storage box is supported by the single wheel through a swing arm and dampening assembly arrangement which dampens and absorbs shock and vibration from the ground surface. The swing arm provides movement of the single wheel along a plane parallel to the plane of rotation of the vehicle wheels. The towing apparatus couples to the trailer hitch of the motorcycle or recreational vehicle through a universal type mounting hitch which maintains the trailer in rotational alignment with the trailer hitch.
