Abstract: Tumble dryer articles having a fabric conditioning composition providing anti-static softening, stain removal, stain guard and anti-active build-up benefits in an automatic clothes dryer are described. The composition comprises 3 to 80 wt. % of a nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of greater than 11, 3 to 50 wt. % of an anionic surfactant, 0 to 80 wt. % of a non-surfactant release aid and up to 25 wt. % of an aqueous ingredient provided the total amount of the nonionic and anionic surfactant is 20 wt. % or more and the ratio of the aqueous ingredient to the anionic surfactant is less than 2:1.

Abstract: A translucent/transparent composition capable of suspending relatively large size particles while remaining readily pourable. The composition is stable, even in presence of readily large amount of electrolyte/surfactant.

Abstract: The present invention relates to perfumed compositions comprising polymer and nonionic surfactant and is explained with particular reference to insect-repellent compositions which are a preferred embodiment of the invention. The invention provides an aqueous cleaning composition comprising: a nonionic surfactant, a carboxylate polymer, and, a perfume. Preferably the compositions of the invention are aqueous cleaning composition of pH 3.5-5.5 comprising:a) 1-10% wt of an ethoxylated alcohol,b) 0.1-4% wt of a carboxylate polymer,c) 0.2-4% wt of a perfume component selected from the group comprising limonene, carvone, cineole, linalool, Gum Camphor, citronellal, alpha and beta terpenol, fencholic acid, borneol, iso borneol, bornyl acetate, iso bornyl acetate and mixtures thereof, and,d) 82-99% water,wherein the weight ratio of (a):(c) does not exceed 10:1.

Abstract: A process for producing a liquid composition containing at least one active component and a diluent by mixing the active with diluent and/or liquid active to produce a liquid crystal mixture and incorporating diluent into it such that the mixture remains substantially homogeneous to produce a composition in which the concentration of active components is lower than the concentration of active components in the liquid crystal mixture. Novel apparatus for use in the process is also described.

Abstract: A fabric conditioning composition comprising;i) a quaternary ammonium fabric softening compound containing at least one ester group and;ii) a polymeric nonionic surfactant with a molecular weight of less than 15,000 and having two long chain alkyl groups in which the two long chains are separated from each other by a hydrophilic moiety.

Abstract: An automatic dishwashing detergent composition is described which contains an effective amount of a defined water soluble cationic or amphoteric polymer and a phosphate or nonphosphate builder. The polymers are soluble or dispersible to at least 0.01% by weight in distilled water at 25.degree. C. A method of using the polymers to prevent fading or corrosion of dishware is also described.

Abstract: A detergent composition suitable for washing colored fabrics. The composition comprises:a) a N-vinylimidazole N-vinylpyrrolidone copolymer (PVP/PVI) in an amount effective to inhibit dye transfer between fabrics during the wash; andb) an organic surfactant system comprising(i) alkylbenzene sulphonate,(ii) a nonionic surfactantin which the ratio of (i) to (ii) is from 7:3 to 99:1.

Abstract: A method of treating fabric comprising:i) applying a composition comprising a polycarboxylic acid or derivative thereof; and ii) curing the composition using a domestic process, is described herein. The invention also relates to compositions for use in said method.

Abstract: A concentrated aqueous fabric conditioning composition which both conditions and inhibits dye transfer is described. The composition includes a fabric conditioning active and a dye transfer inhibiting compound preferably polyvinyl pyrrolidone and a colorant. Methods of preparing and using the compositions are also described.

Abstract: Detergent compositions, essentially free of chlorine bleach compounds, containing a surfactant, builder, enzyme, peroxygen bleach and from about 0.001% to about 5% by weight polyethyleneimine (PEI) or salts thereof are disclosed. These compositions exhibit controlled and improved bleaching action on stains as well as improved storage stability, fabric safety and whitening/brightening characteristics.
