Abstract: The present invention provides methods and compositions useful in the regeneration of damaged, lost and/or degenerated tissue in humans and animals. In certain embodiments, the present invention provides an acellular bioabsorbable tissue regeneration matrix, methods of making such a matrix, and methods of using such a matrix for the regeneration of damaged, lost and/or degenerated tissue. In certain embodiments, methods and compositions of the present invention are useful in the treatment of damaged, lost and/or degenerated nerve tissue.
Abstract: Novel methods for making dosages form comprising a cushioning component. The methods of the present invention provides dosage forms which can be compressed to form compressed dosage forms that are substantially uniform in composition and robust and exhibit reduced friability. The invention also relates to methods for making fast-disintegrating dosage forms.

Abstract: The present invention is drawn to a 3-dimensional cell-produced scaffold construct comprising fibroblasts and the extracellular matrix that has been produced and arranged by these cells. The constructs promote the differentiation, dedifferentiation and/or transdifferentiation of cells and/or formation of tissue in vitro and in vivo, while at the same time promoting cell growth, proliferation, migration, and acquisition of in vivo-like morphology.
Abstract: A method for treating various diseases, conditions and injuries with a protease preparation derived from Aspergillus orzyze and made using potato dextrin as the carbohydrate source is described. The method comprises orally administering the Aspergillus oryzae protease preparation on an empty stomach and in an amount greater than about 2,000,000 HUT per day. Additionally, a method for treating various diseases, conditions and injuries with a protease derived from Aspergillus oryzae made using potato dextrin as the carbohydrate source along with a nutritional supplement of vitamins and minerals is also described. The method comprises orally administering the Aspergillus oryzae protease preparation on an empty stomach in an amount of greater than 2,000,000 HUT per day and administering the dietary supplement of vitamins and minerals orally with food.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the formulations of ester derivatives of capsaicin and ester derivatives of myristoleic acid. These derivatives are capable of reverting to the active parent compound following enzymatic or chemical hydrolysis. These derivatives have a higher lipophilicity, lipid solubility and less irritation to the skin than the parent compound, and hence are better able to be incorporated into certain pharmaceutical formulations, including cream and ointment pharmaceutical formulations. The pharmaceutical compositions of the present invention contain a compound of following formula (Ia): R—CO-CAP??(Ia) wherein CAP refers to collectively the capsaicins represented in FIG. 1 and a compound of formula (Ib): MCO-O—R??(Ib) wherein MCO refers to myristoleic acid.
