  • Patent number: 6928682
Abstract: The present invention has a shaft with a chisel and a ladle at opposed ends. Two stops are welded to the shaft, and a slide assembly is located between the stops. A first handle is between the chisel and the first stop, and a second handle is between the ladle and the second stop. The slide assembly strikes the first stop to make the chisel break through the ice. The ladle is used to scoop out any pieces of ice that are in the hole. A rubber material is on the slide assembly and on the second handle to prevent the user's gloves from freezing thereon. The chisel can be driven into the frozen surface, but not through the frozen surface, to form an anchor. Removal of the anchor is accomplished by striking the slide assembly against the second stop.

  • Patent number: 6681511
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gun trigger for use with a bolt-action gun. The trigger of the present invention has a finger element with an extension and a catch. The catch has a front strap and a rear strap. One or more openings are between the front and rear straps. One or more braces can be across the one or more openings. The trigger also has a head. A socket is formed in the top of the head, and a ball is received within the socket. The height of the ball relative the bottom of the socket can be adjusted. There is practically no friction between the trigger and a gun receiver bottom. A forward lug is provided to adjust the trigger creep. A rearward lug is provided to adjust trigger over-travel. The trigger of the present invention is made by an abrasive jet machine.

  • Patent number: 6609547
Abstract: The log splitter of the present invention is interchangeably mounted to a skid loader in the same manner as conventional attachments, wherein the skid loader longitudinal axis and log splitter longitudinal axis are perpendicular. The log splitter has a mounting frame, a H-beam connected to the mounting frame, and a piston assembly and blade connected to the H-beam. The mounting frame has a top lip and a bottom flange. The skid loader has an attacher that engages the top lip and bottom flange of the mounting frame. The skid loader may supply power to the log splitter, so that the piston assembly pushes the head towards the blade. A user controls the orientation of the attacher, and hence the log splitter. The log splitter can pick a log off the ground, the skid loader can move while holding a log, and the log splitter can split a log over a receptacle.

  • Patent number: 6532896
Abstract: A bird feeder comprises a generally rigid tube and a flexible bag. The tube has a bottom and a top and a wall therebetween. The bottom and top are open. A ledge is integrally connected to the outside surface of the wall close to or at its bottom. Feeding holes and perch holes are formed through the tube wall. A conventional wire hanger is used to hang the bird feeder. A cap removably slides onto the top of the tube to cover the tube. The bag has a mesh wall. The top of the bag is open and the bottom of the bag is closed. A band is located in the top of the bag. The bag is removably securable to the tube above the ledge on the outside surface of the wall. The band is tensioned to pull the bag tight around the outside surface of the tube.

  • Patent number: 6527321
Abstract: A combination walking cane and grabber is provided to aid in walking and for grabbing an object and picking it up from the ground while the user remains standing. The invention has two arms that pivot relative to each other. Each arm has first and second ends. A gripping piece is integral with the first end of each arm. A slot is located proximal the second end of each arm. In one embodiment, each gripping piece comprises an ear, a lug, and a pad. One function is that of a cane. The cane has a handle, shaft and a foot. A second function is that of a grabber. The user manipulates the slots to urge the gripping pieces towards each other. The gripping pieces cooperate together to grab objects from the ground. The arms are pivoted nearly 360 degrees relative to each other to switch between functions.
