  • Patent number: 4697504
Abstract: A top grill assembly for use with a conventional grill apparatus includes a J-shaped support bracket for mounting over the back of a grill enclosure and a generally elongated U-shaped supporting handle having legs pivotally mounted on the support bracket. A top grill is pivotally supported from the supporting handle near its front and captivated thereto near its rear to permit a limited range of angular movement with respect to the supporting handle. A pressurized gas cylinder is positioned between the support bracket and a cross member joining the supporting handle legs for counterbalancing the weight of the top grill. The gas cylinder may be attached to a bracket in a plurality of positions for varying the pressure applied by the top grill when lowered into the cooking position. A thermostat housing is mounted to the cross member and a cord guide maintains the electrical cord in a safe orientation.

  • Patent number: 4686415
Abstract: A support frame for supporting a tensed mask adjacent to a flat panel tube and wholly within the tube includes an outer flange, a shelf extending from the flange parallel to the flat panel and providing a support surface for the tensed mask and a skirt directed away from the flat panel and adapted to join with the remainder of the tube. The configuration provides a very rigid support frame for resisting deformation when not bonded to the other tube elements, such as during screening of the panel when the support frame alone bears the forces exerted by the tensed mask.

  • Patent number: 4667949
Abstract: In a printing machine or the like wherein sheets are delivered seriatim into a receiving tray whereat the sheets come to rest by gravity onto a stack in the tray, a device for facilitating stacking the sheets into the tray at high speed. Each sheet is directed from the machine in a path outwardly over the tray. Guide surfaces act against a lead end of the sheet to prevent upward escape of the sheets from the path. A deflecting mechanism diverts each sheet downwardly into the tray to clear the path for a succeeding sheet. A stop plate is provided beneath the deflecting mechanism for acting against a trail end of each sheet to control and guide the sheet into alignment onto the stack in the tray.

  • Patent number: 4619436
Abstract: A rolling diaphragm regulator valve is affixed in a globe type valve body and includes a nonstretchable fabric reinforced elastomer diaphragm for covering and uncovering, by rolling action in response to changes in pressure in a control chamber, a plurality of apertures in a baffle positioned between the valve body inlet and outlet. An axially movable spring-biased nose piece, mounted behind the diaphragm, provides a surface over which the diaphragm is draped for controlling substantially all movement of the diaphragm. A travel indicator is operable by movement of the nose piece to provide a visual indication of the position of the valve. In one embodiment the baffle is notched adjacent to a peripheral mounting surface of the diaphragm, whereat the ends of the fabric reinforcement are exposed to permit entrained gases to escape. Other embodiments include areas of the diaphragm, exposed to the apertures, that have pinholes in the elastomer surface and that have the fabric surface exposed.

  • Patent number: 4597100
Abstract: A speaker system includes crossover networks connected to a low output impedance amplifier through RF chokes. The individual outputs of the crossover networks are connected by separate wires to each of the individual speakers. RF reducing capacitors are connected across the terminals of each speaker and across the output terminals of the crossover networks. • Patent number: 4554943
Abstract: A bidirectional rotary valve capable of use in high pressure flowpaths includes a pair of removable end retainers defining aligned ports and having a single rotatably mounted disc closely positioned therebetween. The disc has ports corresponding to those of the end retainers and is operated by link means coupled to an operating rod slidably mounted in the valve body. Rotation of the disc changes the alignment between its ports and those in the end retainers for controlling flow. The disc is loosely mounted on a bearing pin that is also loosely fitted in the end retainers to permit slight lateral movement of the disc and ready disassembly of the valve. The disc is constructed such that it will flex to a greater degree for a given pressure than the end retainers.
