Abstract: A dental loop for delivering Coenzyme Q10 to the periodontium by direct physical contact therewith, and a method using such loop. The loop is a loop of plain gut defining a series of pockets for carrying a medicament. Coenzyme Q10 is placed within the pockets, so that it is available directly at the site to which said loop is applied. The loop is slipped over a tooth and placed against the periodontium, and left in place for sufficient time for the Q10 to dissolve and act, and the loop dissolve.
Abstract: This invention provides a resin composition which is cured by active radiation rays, shows less absorption in the visible light region, has solar radiation blocking ability and is excellent in scratch resistance, and a film coated with the resin composition. Said resin composition comprises solar radiation absorbable fine particles of a metal oxide such as zinc antimonate anhydride, tin oxide, ATO (antimony doped tin oxide), ITO (tin doped indium oxide) or the like and an active radiation ray polymerizable (meth)acrylate having a (meth)acryloyl group, and a coating obtained therefrom has excellent paint film hardness and scratch resistance.
Abstract: A system for protecting a pendulous oscillating gyroscopic accelerometer (POGA) from power failure interruption (PFI) events, the POGA having a servo driven member (SDM), rotor driven member (RDM), and torque summing member (TSM), wherein the POGA is a part of an accelerometer system of a guidance system which detects such events and communicates them to the accelerometer system. In the invention, the acceleration is stored just prior to the PFI induced system shut-down, and after the PFI the POGA drives are turned back on. The velocity change during the PFI is determined based on the TSM deflection occurring during the PFI event, acceleration existing at the beginning, and elapsed time. This is reported to the guidance system in a timely fashion.
Abstract: A quick connect/disconnect coupler having a slidable piston to connect and disconnect to a standard fitting or coupling attached to suitable tubing. The coupling is slidably received by the coupler and locked in place by the piston. In the locked position, the coupling depresses a valve pin in the piston which opens a passageway in the coupler. At the same time, a depressor in the coupler depresses a valve stem in the coupling, thereby allowing bi-directional gas flow to the device being serviced from the service apparatus, or vice versa. A method of charging or discharging refrigeration apparatus with said coupler is also disclosed.

Abstract: An embroidery stitch data producing device is disclosed, which is superior in its operating efficiency and is effectively operated to produce the stitch data for forming the stitches of an image to be embroidered, wherein the device is adapted to designate the parts of the image in accordance with the embroidering conditions including thread colors and other elements and being optionally determined. The designated parts of the image may be divided into a plurality of groups in dependence upon the determined embroidering conditions, and each of the groups are dealt with as a single unit. The stitch data are produced for each of the units in accordance with the determined embroidering conditions.
Abstract: Dial face insert properly indexed or keyed so as to tightly fit into a correspondingly indexed or keyed housing. In a preferred embodiment, the dial face includes one or more reference scales printed thereon, such as a temperature scale. The housing to which it is indexed may be the gauge body, the gauge face or the gauge cover.
Abstract: Operation system with a gas and/or liquid pump, to which is connected at least one flexible-tubing line and which includes at least one control device controlling the flow-through quantity of the gas and/or the liquid in the flexible-tubing line, is proposed. In addition, an operator's control unit with actuating elements is provided, which is joined to the control device by means of a control line and with which the flow-through quantity can be adjusted. Control line (24) and actuating elements (16, 17) form at least two control channels independent of one another and the control device includes a memory, which stores a multiple number of control programs providing application-specific procedures, which can be selected on and off by a specific actuation pattern of actuating elements (16, 17). Prespecified actuation patterns of actuating elements (16, 17) are assigned to the control programs, by means of which the course of the application-specific procedure can be controlled.
Abstract: A simple, self-contained, anti-slip ladder pad which can be readily clipped on to a ladder anywhere along the length of the ladder rails without using screws or bolts to adjust the position of the ladder pad or to secure the ladder pad in place.
Abstract: A lock stitch sewing machine with an automatic thread tension adjusting device is disclosed, wherein the sewing machine has a plurality of thread tension adjusting mechanisms 7, each of which including a pair of thread tension disks 12, 13, one of which is normally pressed by a spring toward the other. A sensor 4 is responsive to the operation of a thread tension releasing lever 20 made by a user with a slight touch applied thereto to give a signal. A CPU1 is responsive to the signal to compare the value of the existing thread tension of the thread tension adjusting mechanisms 7 with a predetermined one. If the value of the existing thread tension is higher than the predetermined one, the CPU1 is operated reduce the value of the existing thread tension to a predetermined one. Thus the tension releasing operation ability is increased.
Abstract: A pattern stitching sewing machine is disclosed, wherein a pattern selecting device including a pattern selecting dial is rotatingly operated to select at least one of a plurality of different patterns pattern. First and second indication means are operated in association with operation of the pattern selecting device to indicate a pattern selected by the pattern selecting and an adjustment scope of the selected pattern with respect to at least one of the stitch width and the work feeding amount respectively.
Abstract: For dyeing (printing, for example) cellulose fibers with a reactive dye, a blue compound is greatly desired, the blue compound being capable of generating a product dyed in blue at excellent dyeing reproducibility and with good light fastness and superior fastness against chlorine water, involving less staining of white area. The invention relates to a formazan compound in a free acid form as represented by the following formula I, a dyeing method of cellulose fibers using the same and a final dyed product prepared by the method, characterized in that the compound, the method and the product are suitable so as to overcome the problem.Formula I ##STR1## (wherein R represents hydrogen, sulfo group, hydroxyl group, halogen, a C1-C4 alkyl group, a C1-C4 alkoxyl group or carboxyl group; and M represents copper or nickel.
Abstract: A fastening tool having an alignment device that prevents the tool from firing unless the tool is properly aligned with respect to the object to be fastened. The tool includes a housing and a driver mounted in the housing and moveable with respect to the housing, the driver having a driving surface for engaging a fastener such as a staple. A magazine assembly and nosepiece are associated with the housing for positioning and aligning the fastener in the path of the driver so that when actuated, the driver strikes the fastener and forcibly ejects it from the magazine into the substrate on which the object to be fastened is to be secured. The magazine can be removably secured to the housing. A nose piece assembly having a semi-circular bottom cut-out is secured to the housing and includes a mechanism for ensuring that the object to be fastened is properly aligned in the cut-out before the driver can be actuated.
