Abstract: A paw-supporting element, mountable to a hinged door at a suitable location, enables a dog easily to either pull or push the door open depending on which way the door is operable. A pivotable plate mounted above the paw-supporting element, linked to a liftable latch of the door if one is provided, enables the dog to also unlatch the door to open the same.

Abstract: The invention relates to a novel process for preparation of a biomarker specific for O-acetylated sialic acid and useful for the diagnosis, monitoring outcome of treatment and prediction of relapse of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, said process comprising the steps of (I) separating serum from the blood of patients of acute lymphoblastic leukemia; (ii) separation of low molecular weight fractions and galactose binding proteins from the serum on affinity matrix; (iii) passing the galactose free protein fraction obtained in step (ii) over another affinity matrix to capture O-acetyl sialic acid specific protein fraction; (iv) eluting specific protein fraction with a buffer at alkaline pH in the range of 8.0-11.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a new soluble double metal salt of group IA and IIA of (−) hydroxycitric acid of general formula I: where X is IA group metal: Li or Na or K or Rb or Cs or Fr where Y is IIA group metal: Be or Mg or Ca or Sr or Ba or Ra where the concentration of X in the salt varies from 1.5-51.0%, the concentration of Y in the salts varies from 2.0-50.9%, the concentration of HCA in the salt varies from 31.0-93.0% depending on the nature of X and Y. This invention more particularly relates to new soluble double metal salt of group IA and IIA of (−) hydroxycitric acid of general formula II.
