  • Patent number: 4522910
Abstract: A novel photosensitive film structure comprises a generally continuous minor phase material and a generally discontinuous major phase material. The minor phase includes a photosensitive compound whose solubility relative to a selected solvent changes upon exposure to electrromagnetic radiation, while the major phase is not photosensitive nor soluble in the solvent. The two phases are uniformly interdispersed throughout the film structure. Imagewise exposure to electromagnetic radiation renders the film structure selectively permeable to the selected solvent, and, after development, the film structure exhibits the chemical and physical properties of the major phase material. The film structure finds varied application in the manufacture of graphic arts articles such as lithographi printing plates and photoresists.

  • Patent number: 4467512
Abstract: An expander tool such as for use in removing tubing from barbed fittings. The tool includes a pair of handle members having a pivotal connection therebetween. A pair of channel-shaped jaw members are operatively connected to the handle members for spreading movement in a generally parallel direction when the handle members are moved toward each other. The channel-shaped jaw members are nested with the bight portions thereof being thin and flat and in generally parallel confronting relation. The legs of the channel-shaped jaw members therefore are in overlapped relation whereby the opposite side of the thin flat bight portion of one jaw member can be positioned in close proximity to a workpiece such as the flange or elbow of a barbed fitting. The thin flat bight portions of the jaw members have slots opening outwardly of the tool, the slots each having a stepped configuration for embracing different sizes of workpieces, such as different diameters of tubing and barbed fittings.

  • Patent number: 4459721
Abstract: A poultry skinning machine for removing the skin from poultry parts utilizes rollers having inter-engaging helical teeth that laterally transport the poultry parts while removing the skin from the product. The rollers act in cooperation with a cover means having a shearing section disposed in a substantially bearing relationship along at least a portion of the rollers adjacent their ends. The shearing section facilitates separating the product from detaching skin whereby roller clogging is avoided by directing skin through a receiving gap formed between end bearing means. The skinned product is at the same time conveyed atop the closely fitting shear section.

  • Patent number: 4459704
Abstract: A novel process is disclosed in which garments and other cloth items are formed into their predetermined three dimensional shapes. Unfinished cloth is used to construct a shell which is then completely finished while maintained in the shape of the final product on a mold. The invention is also directed to the products obtained from the novel process and to the one-piece pattern used in the manufacture of pant garments in accord with the process of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 4448454
Abstract: An adjustable seat bracket particularly useful in connection with vehicular seats, and a set assembly including a seat affixed to the adjustable seat bracket are disclosed. The bracket has first and second support means joined by a hinge at their respective rear portions. The bracket is provided with latch means for releasably maintaining the support members in a fixed angular relationship with each other. In a preferred embodiment, the latch means comprises a slotted catch bar projecting from one support member, and a bolt means movably attached to the other support member and adapted to engage the slotted catch bar.A seat may readily be affixed to the present bracket which is in turn easily attached to a seat support surface.
