Abstract: Irregularly shaped granules of a polymer capable of rapidly removing trace levels of toxic heavy metals from water, but posing high resistance to the flow of water, are trapped within interstitial spaces of a shape-retaining porous matrix of intercontacting fibers, forming a composite structure useful in on-the-run water remediations. The composite structure is produced by generating the granules within the matrix.

Abstract: A kit of interactive soft-bodied components for sleep enhancement of a seated person includes a sling member having finger-accommodating pockets which enable the sling member to embrace the user's cheeks and chin when the user's forearms are upwardly raised from bent elbows, and an elbow accommodating member having an elongated central region with extremities having cushioned elbow receiving pads.

Abstract: An electrical box assembly is provided for enabling an electrical box to be rapidly installed into a metal framework that supports an interior wall of a building. The assembly includes a supporting member which is attached to the metal framework, and an electrical box of square design having paired outwardly directed flanges. The flanges are positioned to fit into receiving brackets on the supporting member, thereby enabling the electrical box to engage the supporting member by a simple downward sliding motion.

Abstract: A booth for confining and acoustically isolating musical drum instruments and musicians therefor has a rear wall, front wall assembly having a number of plastic windows interconnected in a polygonal path, and a ceiling member. The windows are supported by pedestal blocks and secured in place by vertically opposed troughs in the ceiling member and pedestal blocks.

Abstract: A multifunctional table apparatus for administering to recalcitrant patients includes a rectangular table panel which can be easily pivoted from a vertical state containing the standing patient to a horizontal position which places the patient in a secured supine position. The pivoting motion is achieved by paired arcuate rocker legs associated with the front of the table and activated in cam-like manner by downward force applied to the rear of the table.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for improved trash containers with liners and a vented divider is described. The vented divider is installed in one corner of the container to facilitate air inlet such that the bag is easier to retrieve even when full. For reasons of utility and aesthetics the divider has plurality of inlets at the bottom instead of a single inlet. The divider also includes an access member, a pair of parallel flexible hinges also known as living hinges as well as a holder for a prior art air freshener. Means for easy installation and removal and reinstallation in a new trash container are also provided.

A motor within the barrel portion drives an activation shaft to produce reciprocative movement of controlled rate and stroke length. A scraper component, releasibly attached to the activation shaft exteriorly of the barrel portion, terminates in a straight edge adapted to apply impact force to the ice/glass interface.
