  • Patent number: 6200387
Abstract: Invented is a method and system for wet processing substrates (especially for semiconductor wafers and flat panel displays) using nebulized chemicals created and carried by heated chemical gases. Different heated nebulized process chemicals are sequentially pressurized into a process chamber based on various process recipes. The micro nebulized chemicals would penetrate the intricate topologies on the substrates with heated and pressurized energy, and form a process effective thin film on each substrate. The process chamber is made of a material that is well compatible to all process chemicals and gases. It is designed to have the capability of circulating the flow of nebulized chemicals and gases to uniformly treat the inside substrates. The chamber is also designed having minimum open space to save process chemicals and deionized (DI) water.

  • Patent number: 5482079
Abstract: An air distributor for use between a super charger and the inlet manifold of an internal combustion engine to uniformly distribute compressed air from the super charger to the combustion chambers of the internal combustion engine and to cool the air. The distributor includes a substantially rectangular body having an enlarged opening therethrough and top and bottom surfaces. Top and bottom plates extend along and are secured to the top and bottom surfaces respectively of the body. The top plate has an air inlet opening therethrough adjacent one end thereof. The bottom plate has first and second spaced air outlet openings therethrough. A plurality of ribs are in the opening in the body and between the top and bottom plates to form air passages which distribute the flow of air from the air inlet opening substantially uniformly along the air outlet passages. The body has fins on its outer surface which serve to cool the body and the air therein.

  • Patent number: 5397145
Abstract: A four wheel velocipede includes a single front to rear frame member connected to front and rear axle assemblies. The steering mechanism is coupled to the front axle assembly by a pipe braced to the frame member. In one embodiment, the frame member is bent over to one side and contains a drive linkage driven by a pedal operated crank assembly connected to a central cantilevered pipe for driving a rear wheel. In a second embodiment, a front wheel drive includes universal joints connecting the front axles to a pedal driven crank for permitting the front wheels to be driven while simultaneously steered. A horizontally extending cross member crank pivots about a vertical axis on the frame member for driving the pedal driven crank via a pair of reach arms connected to the cross member crank.

  • Patent number: 5319879
Abstract: A high security multi-pane window and door system (10) describing a stationary outer frame (14) having sashes (15) mounted therein for relative translational movement. Each sash (15) includes a high strength grate (13) placed between two spaced and sealed panes (35) and the grate perimeter bars (33A, 33B, 33C) serving as a perimeter seal spacer bar for two spaced panes (35). A high strength elements system, being part of the high security multi-pane window and door system (10), and comprising: the grate (13) having attached with high strength joints a lock (61), trolleys (57), bottom and top interlocking elements (40, 41), interlocking with bottom and top channels (43, 69). The high strength elements system can not be disassembled nor opened while the lock bolt (49) is in locked position, even when ventilation gaps are left between the outer frame (14) and the sash (15). The high security multi-pane window and door system (10) incorporates thermo-insulating materials and features thermally broken design.

  • Patent number: 5271507
Abstract: A waste disposal system wherein a control panel inside a building activates a series of spring loaded diverters which cooperate with a duct leading to a series of bins. Operator means is electrically connected to the control panel. When a user depresses a preselected contact means on the control panel, the diverter connected to it changes its position so as to allow access to a corresponding bin. The user can access different bins for separately storing cans, bottles, paper products, general trash and the like. The present system allows easy access to various bins, and encourages recycling by each householder.

  • Patent number: 5183386
Abstract: A vertical axis turbine is provided which comprises a plurality of flexible sail blades attached to a vertically extending, rotatable shaft by upper and lower blade attachment devices, and a power absorbing load device coupled to the rotatable shaft. The flexible sail blades are deployed and stabilized in operation by the centrifugal forces produced in response to rotation of the blades about the vertical axis of the shaft, whereby, in operation, aerodynamic forces acting on the sail blades can be transmitted to shaft without generating bending movements. The sail blades comprise plural elongate flexible sail panels, with flyweights being disposed between and secured to the ends of pairs of the sail panels. In different embodiments, passive flyweights, active flyweights (secondary turbines) and combinations of both types are used.
