    Abstract: An apparatus for separating non-ferrous metal particles from residue composed of rubber, dirt, wood, plastic, glass, an the like, as well as the non-ferrous metal particles. The residue is transported by a conveyor belt over a pair of rotating magnetic separating discs which generate a magnetic field flux upward. This magnetic field flux induces an eddy current in the non-ferrous metal particles. The eddy current is a repulsive force to the magnetic field flux, which enables the non-ferrous metal particles to be levitated above the conveyor belt and the other residue material. The rotation of the field accelerates the particles off the side of the conveyor belt, into discharge chutes which collect the separated particles for recycling. The other residue material is collected at the end of the conveyor belt.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement for carrying a craft such as a kayak or a surfboard. The arrangement includes a carrier bar extending across a vehicle roof which is fastened to opposite edge portions thereof. Holders are provided for engagement with the carrier bars. The holders are provided with arrangements for fixing the holders in selected positions along the carrier bars. Support members for the craft are made from a flexible material and are fastened to the holders pivotally about axes extending lengthwise of the vehicle. At least two arms are provided with each arm being fastened at a first end thereof to each holder and being pivotable about a pivot axis extending lengthwise of the vehicle. The arms have their free ends connected to the support member pivotally above an axis extending lengthwise of the vehicle such that pivoting of the arms adjusts the shape and position of the support members for a particular craft to be carried.

    Abstract: A beverage can holder having a flat top member with a protrusion having groove for engaging the top rim of a beverage can, a central elongated body having a bulbous upper section and a flat lower section to provide a grip conformable to the user's hand, and a base member with a flat bottom and first and second curving backs for engagement with the bottom and side of the beverage can. The beverage can holder is releasably attached to the beverage can such that the beverage can is held at an angle to a flat surface. The novel method of attachment to a beverage can, and the novel shape of the beverage can holder allows the user to enjoy a beverage from a can as if the user was drinking from a stein or mug.

    Abstract: Self supporting rack for athletic and sports equipment. The rack has a vertical center post with a base support at a bottom end of the pole. An upper end of the center post is unsupported. Equipment support assemblies are mounted upon the center post and are upon which athletic and sporting equipment is stored. The length of the support assemblies may be varied in order to stagger the stored items. The connection of the support assembly to the center post allows the support to be positioned anywhere along the length of the pole. The connection allows the assemblies to be extended from any exterior surface of the center post. The arms of the support assembly are also maintained in a substantially horizontal orientation by the connection when in use.

    Abstract: Apparatus and method for pulling plant stalks from the ground without severing the stalk at the point of engagement. The pulling action is accomplished with pairs of disks configured to engage the other near each's circumference. An upward pulling action is created by the disks because the disks initially come together, pinching the stalks therebetween, at a lower most position. As the disks roll in response to their traversing movement across the ground and the cleat's engagement with the ground, the pinch point between the disks and the stalk revolves upward producing a pulling action upon the stalk. The advantageous pulling action of the invention is accomplished in part by the novel orientation of the disks, one to the other, and the angles of engagement between the disks, the stalks and the ground during operation.

    Abstract: A stabilizing roller for a line trimmer device that includes a housing with a cylindrical bore for receiving and mating with a ball roller. The lower end of the housing is open to allow the ball to contact the ground while in operation. The ball is maintained in the housing on the lower end using either an integral lip or a removable retaining plate. The upper end of the housing is closed with a cap designed to mate with the ball during operation. Thus, the ball is free to roll. The housing is connected to a line trimmer device by either a bolt attached to the head of the line trimmer device or a frame and attachment means connected to the extension arm of the line trimmer device.

    Abstract: A clean burning pre-combustion chamber system and method for modifying existing "dirty" natural gas engines to meet modem exhaust emissions standards includes a number of small, water-cooled pre-combustion chambers which can be threaded into the existing spark plug holes, of which there are two per cylinder. A specially shaped ignition chamber within each pre-combustion chamber enhances fuel flow and virtually eliminates the "knocking" which is typically found in pre-combustion chamber modified engines. The inventive system allows existing engines to be economically converted with minimal or no structural changes to the cylinders, heads or valve covers.

    Abstract: A removable lid assembly for covering the access opening of a blade housing segment of a Canon developer cartridge wherein the blade housing segment has a cavity therein which intersects with the access opening and contains a cleaning blade and a series of spaced, but transverse, flat web-like members which are arranged to support the cleaning blade. The lid assembly includes an elongated, generally planar member which has portions thereon that define an elongated recess along one edge portion thereof into which a peripheral edge portion which defines the access opening is inserted. A number of spaced, thickened members are fastened in the cavity of the blade housing. Each or the thickened members is provided with a bore, and has portions thereon which define a slot in which one of the transverse web-like members extends to locate and space the thickened members within the cavity.
