Abstract: There is disclosed a user interface for selecting a photo tag. In an embodiment, the user interface embodies a method of selecting a photo tag for a tagged photo, comprising: providing a tag entry field for entering a photo tag; in dependence upon a string entered by a user, displaying in a matching tag list any tags from one or more selected tag sources matching the entered string. The method may further comprise displaying a tag type for each tag appearing in the matching tag list. The method may further comprise allowing user selection of a tag in the matching tag list to complete the tag entry field.

Abstract: A skid plate for a concrete saw is integrally cast having two end mounting portions and a middle portion with a slot in the middle portion. A horizontal slot in a leading end mounting portion cooperates and a vertical slot in the trailing end portion releasably engage pins on the saw to allow the skid plate to be easily fastened to and removed from the saw. A spring loaded latch mechanism holds the pins in the slots.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing end-to-end security over an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)-enabled network are provided. A first subscriber module accesses an IMS network via an access gateway as a roaming network. The roaming network routes a request for a session from the first subscriber module from its P-CSCF to the I-CSCF of a third-party home network. The third party home network, in turn, routes the request to an S-CSCF implemented at the subscriber's home network, which comprises a second subscriber module. In this way, the session between the two subscriber modules is managed by the subscriber's S-CSCF rather than by a carrier's IMS network, and the subscriber may administer the security relationship without reliance on the carrier or the third party.

Abstract: A signal processing method that includes inputting sample values of a signal and considering the signal to have a plurality of portions. For each portion, a predetermined function is fitted to the sample values of that portion of the signal by calculating values of coefficients for that predetermined function. At least one statistical information function is evaluated for the signal to determine statistical information about the signal and the calculated coefficient values are used so that the form of the statistical information function has been determined for the predetermined function used to fit the signal portion and further includes using the statistical information obtained about the signal to process the signal.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for scheduling calendar events. An exemplary method includes receiving, from a requesting device, an invite request referencing a network address associated with a calendar for a target user, wherein the network address is encoded in a machine-readable code from which the requesting device extracted the network address. The method then includes, sending a preauthorized availability for the calendar of the target/service user to the requesting device, wherein the availability is for a predetermined time length. The method then includes receiving a selection of a desired meeting time within the preauthorized availability from the requesting device and creating a calendar event according to the received selected desired meeting time.

Abstract: Visualizing and exploring a music library using metadata, such as genre, sub-genre, artist, and year, is provided. Geometric shapes, such as disks or rectangles, may be divided into sectors representing genre and each sector may be further divided into sub-sectors representing artists associated with each genre. The sector's relative size generally reflects the importance of the corresponding genre within the library. Likewise, the sub-sector's relative size generally reflects the importance of the corresponding artist within the genre which may be determined by the number of media items of the artist. Marks representing each media item may be arranged and displayed within the geometric shape to reflect the mark's corresponding genre, artist, and year. In addition, each mark may reflect an attribute, such as playcount, of the media item and each sector may reflect the mean value of an attribute of all media items within the sector.

Abstract: Managing online content via user supplied and/or refined tagging is disclosed. In some embodiments, a selection of an item available from an online store is received, and one or more tags to be associated with the item are received from a member of an online community comprising users of the online store. In some embodiments, an indication of a degree of usefulness of a tag is received from a member of an online community, and an attribute of the tag is updated to reflect the indication.

Abstract: A method and system for querying hierarchically classified data. The system first receives a query request and then identifies classifications of the data that may satisfy the received query request. The system then displays the identified classifications. In response to selection of a displayed classification, the system displays sub-classifications when the selected classification has sub-classifications and displays the data within the classification when the selected classification has no sub-classifications. In another aspect, the system generates search results for items that are hierarchically classified. For classifications within the hierarchy of classifications, the system generates a search entry containing terms describing the items within that classification. The system then receives a search criteria. The system selects as initial search results those search entries whose terms most closely match the received search criteria.

Abstract: Methods and systems for generating, deriving, and enhancing drivable road databases are provided. A baseline road in a road network is defined and position and/or trajectory data collected by vehicles traveling the baseline road are compiled and compared to a representation of the baseline road in an existing database. Identity and/or other property information about the road are assigned form the existing database to the new database.

Abstract: A handheld wireless communication device configured to be hand cradleable by an operator during text entry. A display, key field and trackball navigation tool are located on a front face of the device. At least some keys of the key field are arranged in key-columns and each of the key-columns is vertically offset from adjacent key-columns. Alphanumeric input keys include several alphabetic keys with letters arranged in a traditional (QWERTY), but non-ITU Standard E.161 telephone letter layout. A microprocessor is provided that receives operator commands from the keys and the trackball navigation tool and which affects corresponding changes to the display based on user input. The elongate body is longer than wide and the display 322, key field 650 and the trackball navigational tool 328 are located in consecutive series along the length of the elongate body.

Abstract: Aspects relate to categorizing requests for online resources as originating from spiders or not. Such resources are associated with respective contacts, and if a non-spider requests a resource, then a contact associated with that resource can be notified. One example method for determining whether to notify a user associated with a network resource includes identifying, via a processor, an entity making a request for a resource associated with a network address, wherein the entity has extracted the network address from a machine-readable code. The method then includes serving the resource to the entity in response to the request. The method then includes determining if request is not abusive, and only if the request is not abusive sending a notification to a user associated with the resource that the resource has been accessed.

Abstract: Methods and devices for implementing a camera restriction on a wireless handheld communication device. As more handheld devices incorporate camera functionalities, organizations and individuals with privacy concerns are more vulnerable to unauthorized disclosure. The camera restriction prevents a user from taking a picture of a subject if the device has not been steadily focused on the subject in question for a predetermined period of time. In short, this process extends the normal camera-taking procedure and thus requires the camera user to take pictures in a conspicuous manner—the rationale being that a camera user would be less likely to take unauthorized pictures if such actions could be easily recognized. The camera restriction can be communicated to the device via a wireless communication network. Additionally, the restrictions and boundaries can be communicated to the device as part of an IT security policy.

Abstract: An incoming RF signal can be amplified in a RF front end of a RF receiver by conveying the signal through one of a multiple amplification paths. On each path, the gain can be controlled by RF automatic gain control (AGC) circuits. Each amplification path can be designed to handle incoming signals in a designated power range and to optimize receiver performance characteristics such as the noise figure (NF) and odd harmonic linearity in that power range. Signal power can be measured at different locations of the receiver and bypass switches can be used to convey the RF signals down one of the multiple paths based on the power measurements, according to executable logical code. An incoming signal power hysteresis can be applied to stabilize the system. Further, signal power averaging and switch delaying mechanisms can be employed to stabilize the system for rapidly fluctuating signals.

Abstract: A method for creating and editing an XML-based speech synthesis document for input to a text-to-speech engine is provided. The method includes recording voice utterances of a user reading a pre-selected text and parsing the recorded voice utterances into individual words and periods of silence. The method also includes recording a synthesized speech output generated by a text-to-speech engine, the synthesized speech output being an audible rendering of the pre-selected text, and parsing the synthesized speech output into individual words and periods of silence. The method further includes annotating the XML-based speech synthesis document based upon a comparison of the recorded voice utterances and the recorded synthesized speech output.

Abstract: Laundry detergent compositions that provide soil release benefits to all fabric comprising an organophosphorus soil release agents and optional non-cotton secondary soil release agents. The present invention further relates to a method for providing soil release benefits to cotton fabric by contacting cotton articles with a water soluble and/or dispersible organophosphorus material. The contacting can be during washing or by pretreating by applying the composition directly to stains or by presoaking the clothing in the composition prior to washing. The present invention further relates to providing soil release benefits to all fabric in the laundry wash load in the presence of a bleaching agent.

Abstract: A method and system for collecting and tracking statistics of a mobile device having the steps of: adding a call statistics server at an enterprise, the call statistics server adapted to receive call statistics information from one or more mobile devices or adapted to gather call statistics information directly through monitoring call setup, throughput and disconnection traffic; and providing call statistics information to a recipient. The mobile device can then obtain and display the call statistics.
