In the recording medium of the present invention, a space in which addresses are recorded is expanded, thereby securing an address area in which addresses of data can be recorded in a data structure.

Abstract: An adaptive logging apparatus and method are provided. Using the adaptive logging apparatus and method, it is possible to accumulatively store the size of log records generated according to a data update request, and selectively perform algorithms for Recovery and Isolation Exploiting Semantics (ARIES) logging and shadow paging logging, according to the size of the stored log records.

Abstract: An image generating apparatus including a filtering unit to filter a plurality of light signals including a first filter region and a second filter region. The first filter region may allow a complementary color wavelength band of an incident light signal to pass through and the second filter region may allow a whole wavelength band of the incident light signal to pass through. At least one of the first filter region and the second filter region includes two sub-regions configured to pass filtered light signals with two different sensitivities. In addition, an image sensing unit may sense at least one of the filtered light signals of different sensitivities in the complementary color wavelength band and the filtered light signals of different sensitivities in the whole wavelength band from the filtering unit and an image processing unit may generate an image based on the sensed light signals.

The reproducing apparatus includes a recording/reading unit that records data on or reads data from a disc including a defect management area in which defect information regarding data recorded in a data area of the disc and defect management information for managing the defect information are repeatedly recorded, and a controller that controls the recording/reading unit to read the defect information and the defect management information from the defect management area, and read data from the disc using the defect information. First defect information, which is repeatedly recorded, includes second defect information which is recorded in a predetermined area and defect information regarding a defective block occurring after the second defect information is recorded. The defect management information includes location information of the defect information.
