  • Patent number: 6924785
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for displaying data on a matrix display consisting of N data lines and P selection lines at the intersections of which are situated the image points or pixels. The N data lines are grouped into {dot over (P)} blocks if N? lines where N={grave over (P)}×N?. Each block receives in parallel one of the P? data signals which is demultiplexed on the N? lines of the said block. The scanning of the N? data lines of a block is carried out from 1 to N? or from N? to 1, alternately, according to the selection lines.

  • Patent number: 6589092
Abstract: An ultrasonic wave is oscillated from an ultrasonic generator toward a shadow mask to permit the ultrasonic wave to remove the foreign matter attached to the shadow mask, thereby cleaning the shadow mask. A part of the ultrasonic wave oscillated from the ultrasonic generator toward the shadow mask is reflected by a reflector toward the shadow mask so as to irradiate the shadow mask.

  • Patent number: 6530087
Abstract: In a cable network system of this invention, GSUs are installed in almost all subscriber residences. A G-STB or a G-MDM is set for a subscriber who wants to receive bidirectional services. Alternatively, an NGA is attached to an existing N-STB or N-MDM. The presence of an upward transmission signal from an in-home device is monitored in the G-STB, the G-MDM, or the NGA. While the upward transmission signal is detected, a transmission indication signal is supplied to the GSU. Only while the transmission indication signal is detected, the GSU sets a gate switch in an ON state. On the other hand, while no transmission indication signal is detected, the GSU keeps the gate switch in an OFF state.

  • Patent number: 5896115
Abstract: A unit for driving an image display device capable of preventing occurrence of luminescent spots on a display plane due to a leakage voltage of the unit. The drive unit includes gate electrodes and cathode electrodes arranged so as to define a matrix by cooperation with each other. At least two reset pulses are applied to each of the gate electrodes during a period of time for which it is kept nonselected to cause a voltage increased due to the leakage voltage to be reduced to a level of a reference potential and the gate electrode is kept at an increased impedance during a period of time for which the gate electrode is kept from being fed with the reset pulses.

  • Patent number: 5756347
Abstract: A plasmid having a temperature-sensitive replication origin which has the following properties:a) capable of autonomous replication in Corynebacterium and being retained in Corynebacterium; and,b) when a cell containing said plasmid is cultured at 31.degree. to 37.degree. C., replication of the plasmid is inhibited and at the same time, the plasmid is removed from the cell body; and a method for performing homologous recombination in Corynebacterium using the plasmid.

  • Patent number: 5703845
Abstract: A reading head has odd and even elemental areas for reading corresponding odd and even information segments that alternate to make up a frame of information on a record medium. The odd elemental areas provide a train of sequential odd information segments, each odd segment having cross-talk associated with the neighboring even segments which are on either side thereof when it is read from the record medium. Similarly, the even elemental areas provide a train of even information segments, each even segment having cross-talk associated with the odd segments which neighbored it on either side when it is read from the record medium. To correct for such cross-talk in both signal trains, both are fed to each of two cross-talk correcting circuits. These circuits derive needed adjacent segment information as to the cross-talk producing adjacent segments from one of the trains being fed thereto so as to process the segments of the other train being fed thereto for cross-talk correction.
