  • Patent number: 7037193
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for playing a lottery game and for a sports-game totaliser. According to this method, each player (3) participating e.g. in a lottery uses an individual memory device (4) that comprises at least a timer (27), a memory (26), an information input-output device (29) as well as an indicator (31) defining a game area (89) corresponding to that found on lottery tickets of the “bingo” or “national lottery” type. This system is further characterised in that, when counting the time for recording hypothetical information into the individual memory device (4), it uses both the digital data from the timer (27) and the time characteristics thereof. The individual memory device (4) is further capable of recording simultaneously several variants of hypothetical information and of formatting the same using a predetermined algorithm.

  • Patent number: 7031671
Abstract: Multi-user detection method with elimination of interference between users, each user transmitting modulated data in the form of symbols on a transmission channel, each transmission channel (k) comprising at least one propagation path (i) and each propagation path arriving at an array of reception antennae (l) according to a direction of arrival (?i,k), the method comprising at least one sequence of steps for each user (k), each sequence comprising: (a) a reception step (600k,700k,800k,800,900) decomposing each antenna signal into filtered signals (xl,i,k) issuing from the different paths (i) of the said user (k) and combining the said filtered signals by means of a first plurality of coefficients (bl,i,k, ci,k) in order to form an estimation (zk) of the signal transmitted by the user; (b) a step of estimating (670k,770k,870k,870,970) the contribution ((xl,k)l=1 . . .

  • Patent number: 7030548
Abstract: A prefocus lens section is formed by a second grid and a third grid in a substantially rotation-symmetric fashion. A sub-lens section is formed by the third grid and a first segment. A main lens section is formed by a fourth grid and a fifth grid. The third grid is supplied with a voltage that is higher than a focus voltage and lower than an anode voltage. An electron beam, which is prior to entering the main lens section, is shaped to have a greater horizontal dimension than a vertical dimension.

  • Patent number: 6410116
Abstract: An optical information medium comprises a supporting substrate, an information recording surface 4 on the supporting substrate and a light-transmitting layer of resin on the information recording surface. Recording light and/or reproducing light are incident on the information recording surface through the light-transmitting layer. The light-transmitting layer is obtained by curing a resin layer containing an ultraviolet-curing cationic resin. If the light-transmitting layer is formed by repeating the cycle of resin coating and curing or drying a plurality of times, the uniformity of thickness of the light-transmitting layer can be much more improved and the amount of warpage can be much more reduced. Repetition of the cycle of resin coating and curing or drying is also effective for resins other than the ultraviolet-curing cationic resin.

  • Patent number: 6228946
Abstract: A block copolymer comprising, in a main chain thereof, a crystalline polymer block A obtained by hydrogenation of at least 80% of unsaturated bonds of a butadiene-based polymer block having a 1,2-bond content less than 20%, a polymer block B having a glass transition point of 20° C. or lower and a polymer block C composed mainly of a methacrylate ester unit and/or an acrylate ester unit and having a glass transition point exceeding 20° C. has good elastomeric properties, excellent weather resistance, solvent resistance and heat resistance and has good affinity with each of a polar polymer and non-polar polymer. A polymer composition comprising said block copolymer effectively exhibits the above-described characteristics of the block copolymer.

  • Patent number: 6214278
Abstract: A rubber-modified styrene type polymer excellent in transparency and excellent in impact strength and moldability, is presented. A rubber-modified styrene type polymer comprising from 1 to 15 parts by weight of a dispersed phase made of a rubber-like elastic material and from 99 to 85 parts by weight of a continuous phase made of a polymer comprising from 35 to 75 wt % of styrene type monomer units and from 65 to 25 wt % of (meth)acrylate type monomer units, wherein the rubber-like elastic material is a styrene (30 to 50 wt %)-butadiene (70 to 50 wt %) block copolymer, the weight average molecular weight (Mw) of the polystyrene portions of this block copolymer is from 45,000 to 75,000, and the ratio (Mw/Mn) of MW to the number-average molecular weight (Mn) is from 1.20 to 1.80.
