Abstract: Filter for removal of leucocytes is provided, wherein the filter is coated with a natural polymer of chitosan which has a good blood compatibility and no side effect in human body on an ultrafine non-woven fabric. This blood filter provides a high removal rate of leucocytes as well as good recovery of platelets and red blood cells due to secondary filtration through electrostatic power between a leucocyte and a cationic residue provided by chitosan on the surface of the non-woven fabric.

Abstract: An adsorbent for optical resolution obtained by graft polymerizing an optically active vinyl monomer of the formula: ##STR1## wherein X is --CONH--, --COO-- or --NHCOO--, R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and each of R.sup.2 to R.sup.4 which are different from one another, is a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group or an alkoxycarbonyl group, or R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 together form a ring, to a crosslinked polymer carrier having groups to which said monomer is graft polymerizable.
Abstract: When medical image data is acquired by imaging equipment of modality, modality outputs an image data transfer request command to a data base, via a network. After a memory area of a TMD (temporal magnetic disc) of the data base is secured, the acquired image data is transferred from modality to the TMD. When an image data retrieval request command is input from a WS (work station) of a console to data base through network, retrieval of the image data stored in the data base is performed, the retrieved data is transferred to the WS, and is displayed. The operator requests data base to read out image data by retrieval result. Data base is searched memory address of the requested image data. When the requested image data is stored in OD (optical disc), image data stored in OD is transferred to TMD. Image data stored in TMD is transferred to WS, and is displayed.

Abstract: A scroll compressor comprises a driving scroll, a driven scroll combined with the driving scroll to be driven by the same through the mutual contact of the wrap plates of the both scrolls, a movable bearing support held in a sealing container so as to be movable in the axial and radial directions of the container. The movable bearing support supports the driven scroll so that the driven scroll is pushed in the radial direction of the container, whereby gaps formed between the wrap plates of the driving and driven scrolls can be avoided.
