Abstract: In the method for data archiving with automatic en- and decryption data (9, 10) are exchanged between a client station (1) and an archive station (4). A securing means (2) connected between the stations (1, 4) encrypts the plain data (9) which are transmitted towards the archive station (4) and decrypts the encrypted data (10) which are transmitted towards the client station (1). The encryption is carried out with at least two keys (6, 7). One of the two keys (6, 7) is swapped out by transmitting it to the archive station (4) and deleting it locally, i.e. in the securing means (2), after the encryption. If the securing station (2) is stolen, the encrypted data (10) on the archive station (4) can be accessed, however their decryption can be prevented in a simple, reliably and comprehensible manner by deleting the swapped out key (7) in the archive station (4).

Abstract: A modulation method according to the invention is applied to a modulation device in which a light source is driven by a differential signal while a modulation circuit and the light source are capacitively coupled. In the modulation method of the invention, when an average potential fluctuates at an input terminal of the light source, a potential fluctuation is externally provided using a control circuit such that a normal phase side and a reverse phase side become equal to each other in a time constant of the fluctuation in average potential, and transient states of the average potentials at the normal phase side and reverse phase side are equalized and cancel each other as in-phase components of a signal input to the light source, which allows an optical signal to be normally transmitted from the light source.

Abstract: A diaphragm positioned in a waste disposal device for holding and twisting flexible tubing dispensed form a cartridge housed in the waste disposal device. The twisting of the tubing is accomplished either by rotating the diaphragm and holding the cartridge stationary, or rotating the cartridge and holding the diaphragm. A rotation mechanism is operatively configured to the waste disposal device for rotating either the cartridge or the diaphragm while impeding the rotation of the other. The twisting of the flexible sealably encapsulates a waste package inserted into the flexible tubing through an opening in the cartridge.

Abstract: There is provided a method for measuring a parameter of a power frequency current being carried by a power line. The method that includes (a) transducing a power frequency current flowing through a power line, into a power frequency voltage, via an inductive coupler that couples a communications signal from the power line, (b) separating the power frequency voltage from the communications signal, and (c) determining a value of a parameter of the power frequency current from the power frequency voltage. There is also provided a system and an apparatus for measuring the parameter.
Abstract: A combination oven that is operable with convection air, impingement air and microwave energy in various combinations thereof. The oven has an oven chamber and a fan box that are located front to back. A fan in the fan box circulates heated air by discharging via openings in a top and a bottom and taking in via an intermediate opening of a baffle plate. Impingement plates are easily installed and removed in the oven chamber to provide impingement air upwardly or downwardly. At least one of the impingement plates is installed and removed by a sliding motion. Microwave energy is provided through the side walls of the oven chamber. Intake ports for cooling air are located in a bevel between the side walls and bottom wall of the oven's outer enclosure so as to allow the oven to be located right next to other structures, such as a wall. An interlock assembly is also provided for the oven door.
