  • Patent number: 6817315
Abstract: A cat litter product is provided made substantially from spent distillers' grain substantially removed of starch and combined with modified starch. The combination of spent distiller's grain and modified starch form particles tending to agglomerate when wetted. In addition, zeolite is added to adsorb and desorb water, thus eliminating and preventing mildew formation, and yucca schidegira is included as an emulsifying or foaming agent which functions to inhibit urease enzyme action and to prevent the formation of NH3 (ammonia), thereby binding and neutralizing annoying and harmful odors associated therewith. Yucca schidegira further serves to help neutralize feces odor.

  • Patent number: 6814671
Abstract: A telescopic putter mounted to a headband is a novelty game that mimics the game of golf. It is played indoors with a lightweight plastic ball and a cup resting on the floor. The game follows the general rules of putt-putt golf, except for the rule that the player must not touch the club with their hands when swinging. Instead the club is attached to the player's head with the use of a headband. Thus, the player must bend over the ball, place their hands on their knees and swing the club by turning their head from side to side. The club has an adjustable length shaft that telescopes in and out to accommodate players of varying heights.

  • Patent number: 6813939
Abstract: A pair of car ramps is provided, each with integral rollers that allow the drive wheels of a vehicle to turn while the vehicle remains stationary. Each ramp is a two-piece unit with a removable inclined section and a separate recessed wheel section. This feature allows the units to store easily as well as aiding in transportation. Additionally, the recessed wheel section is lined with a series of rollers with bearings. These rollers are what allows the drive wheels to turn, while the vehicle remains stationary. The rollers are also provided with a locking mechanism that prevents the rollers from moving to allow the vehicle to drive on and off the invention. A separate but stationary roller prevents the tire from overshooting the recessed rollers. All surfaces that contact grade are covered with rubber protectors to prevent damage.

  • Patent number: 6796049
Abstract: An adjustable tile spacing apparatus permits the setting tiles in a consistent pattern with perfect spacing relative to one another so as to obtain grout joints of uniform width. The adjustable tile spacing apparatus includes a central member and two perpendicular members at opposing ends of the central member, with each member adjustable in both width and length dimensions, via the use of telescoping members and fasteners. A spacer is affixed to each corner of the apparatus. The spacer can have an X-shape, a T-shape, an L-shape, or a linear shape. The spacers may be ¼ inch, ⅜ inch, and ⅛ inch in width to construct various sized grout line widths. A rubber handle with finger grips is provided for user comfort. • Patent number: 6793227
Abstract: A differential stabilizer arm is provided to reduce rear wheel hop on motor vehicles. A universal joint is securely fastened to the frame or cross member of the vehicle approximately three feet in front of the rear axle. Located atop the universal joint is a box-type saddle arrangement that is lined with polyethylene, also known as Hi-Fax®, to reduce the coefficient of friction. A square tube then slides in and out of this channel in a manner parallel to the centerline or drive shaft of the vehicle. At the opposite end of the square shaft is a V-shaped arm with isolated rubber brushings on the end of each of the two arms. One arm connects to the rear axle housing above the axle, and the other connects to the housing below the axle. In such a manner the invention will follow the axle as it moves through any of the three axes of movement.

  • Patent number: 6785915
Abstract: A personal hygiene cleansing tool, is provided as an apparatus to aid in cleansing body parts in a medical environment. The invention connects to a standard faucet on a sink, and provides a flow of water to a cleansing wand through a flexible plastic hose mounted on a retractable reel. The wand contains controls for adjusting the flow rate of the water, along with an adjustable head to provide a water flow from a stream to a mist. Additionally, the invention has a siphon arrangement to allow the addition of medicine into the water stream. The medicine is placed into a sealed chamber and then drawn out in an incremental manner as the water flows by. It is envisioned that the invention would be used in a hospital environment for the cleansing of wounds or for the bathing of individuals who cannot withstand the impact of water from a shower.

  • Patent number: 6782579
Abstract: The adjustable ceiling fan blade cleaner consists of a clamp that connects around the body of a ceiling fan motor via a two-member telescoping ring. Two arms project out the end of the cleaner. Each arm then has a section of cloth that hangs down and slightly drapes over the fan blade in much the same manner as a flag. Thus as the blades of the fan turn, the cloth swipes off any dust. When dirty, the cloths are simply slid off of the end, washed, and then replaced. Disposable, one-time cleaning cloths may also be used as well. The use of the attachable duster for ceiling fan allows for virtually effortless cleaning of ceiling fan blades in a manner, which is quick, easy and effective.

  • Patent number: 6779467
Abstract: A desk is designed for mounting to a wall or for mounting to either side of a door. The desk consists of a table surface attached via a hinge mechanism to the wall or door. When folded down into its utilized state, there is a leg support, with integral springs that supports the desk surface to the floor, wall or door. Additionally, a swing arm support supports the rear of the desk surface from the wall as well. Additional swing down components such as shelves, paper holders, and even a desk chair are also envisioned. All supporting hardware is of high-strength design and is locking for sure support. Any surfaces which may touch finished surfaces are provided with rubber bumpers for protection. The use of the desk allows those with limited floor space, or those who do not want the appearance of a permanent desk, to have a useful and functional desk to perform various activities that require a flat, horizontal surface almost anywhere in a home.

  • Patent number: 6779547
Abstract: An automated condensate drain system for gas flow elements is provided that includes a differential pressure transmitter, a sequence controller, and two condensate chambers for receiving and collecting accumulated moisture from air flow elements and transmitters. The condensate chambers are placed in low profile positions within the instrument piping system, requiring downward sloping of the instrument tubing to accentuate condensation drainage. The sequence controller initiates a drainage cycle (set as desired by operator), permitting the transmitter to enter an auto-zero cycle, thereby energizing an internal isolation valve in the transmitter while maintaining the transmitter output. The sequence controller energizes solenoid valves of the two condensate chambers, wherein the chambers open to permit drainage of accumulated moisture assisted by static pressure system.

  • Patent number: 6773123
Abstract: An apparatus is provided that allows drivers of motor vehicles to see the face of infants or children sitting in rear facing car seats in the rear of the car. A foldable “L”-has approximately the same width as a conventional infant car seat. The bottom portion of the “L” is secured under the car seat by friction and weight. The other portion of the “L” extends up the back of the automobile seat, and is provided with a reflective surface such that a child in a rear facing car seat will look directly into it. The top portion is an adjustable viewing mirror with which the driver will be able to see the child. The angle between the two “L” sections is adjustable to compensate for seat design and viewing angle. The frame around the reflective plastic mirror section can be decorated with an appropriate child pattern.

  • Patent number: 6767292
Abstract: A golfing putter comprises a shaft, a putter head and a pair of runner guides. The linearly elongated shaft is inserted at the rear of the putter head and disposed at angle to accommodate golfers seated in a wheel chair. The top of the putter head includes an alignment indicia, thereby providing a means for properly aligning the center of the putter face with the center of the golf ball and on the correct intended putting line. The pair of runner guides are positioned at the bottom of the putter head, intermediate to the putter head and the putting surface, and run parallel to the direction of the shaft and the intended putting line. The rearmost portion of the runner guides includes a rounded surface so as to elevate the putter face, thereby minimizing drag on the putter as it is stroked and encouraging overspin to the struck golf ball.
