Abstract: A head mounted display includes a display unit, a concave mirror, an optical unit that is arranged between the display unit and the concave mirror, transmits a part of incident light from the display unit and reflects the other part of the incident light from the display unit, a first optical system that guides light reflected by the concave mirror to the left eye, and a second optical system that guides light reflected by the optical unit to the right eye. In the head mounted display, on the concave mirror, a right end is closer to the display unit in comparison with a left end. Further, the curvature of the concave mirror at the right end is larger than the curvature of the concave mirror at the left end.
Abstract: A plasmon antenna of the present invention is used in a thermally assisted magnetic head that includes: a medium-facing surface set, parallel to an XY plane; a magnetic pole for writing, extending toward the medium-facing surface, and a plasmon antenna comprising a pair of small metal bodies irradiated with excitation light for near-field light generation propagating in a Z-axis direction. Respective corners of the small metal bodies are spaced apart opposite each other along a TE mode direction of the excitation light. A distance between the corners gives the shortest distance between the small metal bodies, and a distance from each corner to the leading end of the magnetic pole gives a shortest distance from the small metal bodies to the leading end.
Abstract: A fuel cell system capable of suppressing noise caused by backflow of air when a compressor stops. Also, there is provided a fuel cell vehicle provided with this fuel cell system. A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell and a compressor that compresses air taken in from outside and supplies compressed air to the fuel cell. Operation of the compressor is stopped after a pressure difference between an upstream side and a downstream side of the compressor has become equal to or smaller than a predetermined value by using a control unit. In this case, the predetermined value can be a pressure difference corresponding to a predetermined noise level.
Abstract: Upon the occurrence of the abnormality that the inverter for driving the motor is in the one-phase short circuited state, this inverter is stopped in the three-phase short circuited state and sets the execution torque by subtracting the counter electromotive force application torque that is applied the driveshaft due to the counter electromotive force generated by rotation of the motor and the steering angle application torque corresponding to the steering angle from the torque demand according to the step-on amount of the accelerator pedal. The engine and the inverter for driving the motor is controlled so that the vehicle is driven with the set execution torque. This enables the driving force output to the driveshaft from the engine and the motor to be in accordance with the torque demand.

Abstract: For the purpose of providing a display apparatus capable of improving display quality by expanding the light-emission area of pixels by improving the layout of pixels and common power-feed lines formed on a substrate, pixels (7A, 7B) including a light-emission element (40), such as an electroluminescence element or an LED element, are arranged on both sides of common power-feed lines (com) so that the number of common power-feed lines (com) is reduced. Further, the polarity of a driving current flowing between the pixels (7A, 7B) and the light-emission element (40) is inverted so that the amount of current flowing through the common power-supply lines “com” is reduced.

Abstract: The radiation-curable phase-change ink composition having at least one radiation curable fluorescent co-monomer and a gellant. The radiation-curable phase-change ink composition offers both document security features as well as potential brand highlight features. The radiation-curable phase-change ink composition combines the unique attributes of the UV curable gel system, with its tremendous substrate latitude, with the ability to add tunable fluorescent effects without the safety concerns of small molecule fluorescent additives. Exemplary ink compositions include a first co-monomer, least one radiation curable fluorescent co-monomer, and a gellant. Methods for making and using these ink compositions and ink compositions are also provided.

Abstract: A dielectric ceramic composition includes, as a main component, a compound having perovskite type crystal structure shown by a general formula ABO3, as subcomponents, in terms of respective element with respect to 100 moles of the compound, and 0.6 to 2.0 moles of an oxide of Mg, 0.010 to 0.6 mole of oxide of Mn and/or Cr, 0.010 to 0.2 mole of an oxide of at least one selected from V, Mo and W, 0.10 to 1.0 mole of an oxide of R1 (R1 is at least one selected from Y, Yb, Er and Ho), 0.10 to 1.0 mole of an oxide of R2 (R2 is at least one selected from Dy, Gd and Tb) and 0.2 to 1.5 moles of a component consisting of an oxide of Ba and/or oxide of Ca and an oxide of Si. According to the present invention, even when a dielectric layer is made thinner, a dielectric ceramic composition having good characteristics can be provided.

The sliding member is slidably held in contact with the guide member and imposes a frictional resistance to the guide member, and the biasing member applies a biasing force in a direction that holds the sliding member and the guide member in contact with each other. The guide member and the sliding member have a plurality of sliding contact portions on which the biasing force of the biasing member acts in different directions.

Abstract: A seal structure for connection sections, which facilitates installation and removal of a seal member from the connection sections. The seal member is placed in the connection sections between a first part and a second part. A first groove-ridge section is formed at the connection section of the first part, and a second groove-ridge section is formed at the connection section of the second part. The seal member has, on one face, a first fitting section fitting to the first groove-ridge section, and also has, on the other face, a second fitting section fitting to the second groove-ridge section. Press-fitting interferences in the wall-thickness direction are provided at the first and second fitting sections. The seal member has an extended section protruding radially outward from an annular body section where the first and second fitting sections are provided. The extended section protrudes to a position outside the connection sections of the first and second parts.
