  • Patent number: 7303271
Abstract: An ink jet printer including a housing; a carriage which is movable in the housing relative thereto; an ink jet recording head which is mounted on the carriage and which has a plurality of ink supply channels; a damping device which is mounted on the carriage and which includes a plurality of damping chambers corresponding to the ink supply channels, respectively; an ink-tank supporting portion which is provided in the housing and which supports a plurality of ink tanks; and a plurality of ink supply tubes each of which supplies an ink from a corresponding one of the ink tanks to a corresponding one of the ink supply channels of the ink jet recording head via a corresponding one of the ink supply tubes and a corresponding one of the damping chambers. The damping device further includes a primary partition wall which separates at least one first damping chamber of the damping chambers, from at least one second damping chamber of the damping chambers.

  • Patent number: 7068026
Abstract: A sensor signal circuit of the present invention includes a tacho generator (42) for detecting revolution speed of a motor and outing a detection result as a sensor signal converted to a voltage, and a controller (5) for driving and controlling the motor (41) based on the sensor signal from the tacho generator (42). The sensor signal circuit further includes a voltage to current converter (43) for outputting a current in proportion to the voltage output from the tacho generator (42) as a sensor signal current, a cable (6) connecting the voltage to current converter (43) and the controller (5), and a resistor (511) for converting the current to a voltage.

  • Patent number: 6733946
Abstract: A method for providing three dimensional optical memory storage for computers. The method comprises subjecting a nanocomposite to irradiation. The nanocomposite comprises a matrix of particles of a liquid core resin within an inner shell resin and an outer shell resin. The inner shell resin retains the liquid core resin while the outer shell resin forms a continuous phase of the matrix. The particles of core resin contain at least one photosensitive compound and are in an array in the matrix. The continuous phase is substantially free of photosensitive compound. The irradiation may be a single beam of irradiation selectively focused on individual particles in the array to effect photobleaching of individual particles or a two-photon irradiation of a wavelength to effect photobleaching.

  • Patent number: 6731377
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of controlling the output of laser pulses where laser pulses are continuously emitted while performing charging for each pulse. This method comprises: a pre-charging step for commencing charging for a next pulse with a previously set first charging voltage value as a target; a voltage computation step for computing a second charging voltage value required for the next pulse during the pre-charging step; and a fine charging step for continuing charging for the next pulse with the second charging voltage value as the target instead of the first charging voltage value, when the second charging voltage value is computed in the voltage computation step.
