Abstract: A slitter having a pivotal head carrying multiple spaced pairs of arbors with said head being liftable to displace the arbors from the pass line of the material.
Abstract: A boat washing apparatus having a stationary frame to which are pivoted a pair of carrier frames which journal rotary power driven brushes across which may be moved an elevated boat mounted on a mobile support.

Abstract: A liquid filter having a housing which includes a chamber enclosed by a cap. A filter is positioned within the chamber and includes a flange which makes a hermetic seal with the housing.
Abstract: A viewing rod in which a visual change in color at the transmitting end of the rod indicates that the level of the liquid within a receptacle has reached the transmitting end.
Abstract: A spring biased prop for use with a pivot member, such as a window, hinged to a support member. The prop includes sliding tubular telescopic members each carrying a pivoted arm part for attachment to the pivot member or support member. A sleeve formed of generally friction free material, such as nylon or Teflon, is fitted between the tubular members to accommodate sliding movement of the members relative to each other.
Abstract: A recoiler for use in a slitting line upon which multiple strands of slit material are wound. The recoiler includes a rotatable drum having expandable side walls which are shiftable between expanded and retracted positions during drum rotation.
Abstract: In a low-level audio preamplifier circuit having complementary connected PNP and NPN bipolar transistors cascode coupled to other complementary PNP and NPN bipolar transistors in receiving the audio input from a low-level transducer in which induced distortion from externally generated radio frequence energy is cancelled.
Abstract: A golf link having a generally rectangular playing area and including two greens located at opposite ends of the playing area. Each green includes two holes. Four tee areas are located within the playing area with each tee area being positioned adjacent one corner of the playing area so as to enable a golfer to hit onto the green at the opposite end of the playing area and to play one of the two holes of the green.
Abstract: A watering cup for fowl and animals has a telescopic valved and sealed fit of a normally closed valved tubular part of a cup housing within a normally closed valved depending tubular outlet of a water supply line and a hook interlock of said telescoping parts. A cup pivoted in the cup housing below the valved tubular cup part has a projection for opening the valve of the tubular cup housing part and a spring controlled by adjustable tensioning means urges said cup and its projection toward valve opening position when less than a selected quantity of water is contained in the cup.
Abstract: A slitter having multiple spaced pairs of arbors carried upon a rotatable housing which is shiftable as a unit toward and away from a second housing which is adapted to support a selected pair of such arbors during the slitting operation.

Abstract: A fusible link restrains a spring which in turn is connected to a chain or similar flexible retainer member extending between the housing part of the receptacle and the hinged lid part of the receptacle. In the presence of heat the link melts causing the spring to exert a pull upon the chain which pulls the lid part of the receptacle closed.
Abstract: A sectionalized door for a barn or similar structure including a plurality of separable panels positioned side by side and fitted together by tongue and groove connections. Top and bottom rails extend across the upper and lower marginal edges respectively of the connected panels.
Abstract: A respirator filter is formed of felt impregnated with rosin, which is fractured throughout and is characterized by loosened fibers at one surface thereof. The method of forming the filter entails splitting a batt with fractured rosin impregnation to separate and displace the fibers at the plane of cleavage from their prior felted position.
Abstract: A starter fluid consisting of a lower alkyl ether, a pressuring gas, a hydrocarbon propellant and petroleum distillate of 5 to 8 carbon chain length.
Abstract: A sanitary unit for confined environmental controlled feeding of hogs wherein a building is equipped with means to provide a controlled atmosphere and temperature environment and contains a plurality of pens each having feeding and watering stations. The floor of the building is provided with a trough extending through each pen spaced from the feeding station and covered by a grill. Pressurized water jets discharged into said trough at spaced points along said trough below said grill in a direction angularly of the trough and generally toward a discharge outlet to which the bottom of said trough slopes.
Abstract: A gage including parallel first and second bar members having mutually engaging side faces and including contact end portions for engagement with structural members wherein the offset of such structural members will be indicated by the relative longitudinal position of the bar members. One of the bar members includes a bore having a pin therein which can be made to protrude a selected distance from the end face of the bar to indicate the depth of a bore as measured from the bar end face.
Abstract: A prefabricated door assembly which includes a panel, a pair of jambs and two combined header and thresholds. The jambs and combined header and thresholds form a rectangular frame into which is fitted the door panel. The panel is pivotally hinged to one of the jambs. Each combined header and threshold is adapted to be mounted either upon a foundation or under an overhead support, depending upon the vertical orientation of the panel and location of the door hinge.
Abstract: A security vehicle, such as for transporting prisoners, having a passenger compartment with a door opening therein. The door opening is secured by first and second pairs of doors which can be locked independently of one another.
Abstract: In a low level audio preamplifier circuit having complementary connected PNP and NPN bipolar transistors for receiving the audio input from a low level transducer such as a tape head, in which induced distortion from externally generated radio frequency energy is cancelled with minimal loss of audio fidelity.
Abstract: A row crop planter of the type having a rotating pressurized peripherally apertured seed drum within which are positioned seed distributing structure and a brush for releasing excess seeds from the drum in advance of the distributing structure, which is improved by the provision of air permeable a seed barrier located in the drum to prevent reattachment of seeds to the portion of the drum between the brush and the distributing structure.
