Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a device for allocating bandwidth on a per user basis. The device can be a computing device that comprises a processor, a first network interface coupled to the processor, a second network interface coupled to the processor, and a storage medium accessible by the processor that contains a set of computer instructions. The computer instructions can be executable by the processor to retrieve a set of user profiles. Based on the user profile for each user, the computer instructions can be executable to establish at least one bandwidth limit for each user. For each user, the computer instructions can be further executable to regulate bandwidth usage associated with that user based on the at least one bandwidth limit established for that user. The frame and the glass pane can be firmly combined without being pushed out from each other and a door of a precise standard can be provided.
Abstract: A method for determining a number of ranging slots by a base station (BS) in a broadband wireless access (BWA) communication system. The method includes counting the number of mobile stations (MSs) that succeeded in ranging in a current frame, determining a ranging slot occupation ratio in the current frame, comparing a ranging slot occupation ratio of a previous frame with the ranging slot occupation ratio of the current frame, detecting an increase in the number of ranging-requesting MSs, if the ranging slot occupation ratio of the current frame is greater than the ranging slot occupation ratio of the previous frame, and determining the number of ranging slots of a next frame such that the number of ranging slots of the next frame is greater than the number of ranging slots of the current frame.

Abstract: In a mobile phone terminal, in which a sound, such as the audio, may be synchronized with a moving picture even in case a sound processor unit processing the sound, such as audio, is controlled by a controller differing from the controller controlling a moving picture processing unit processing the moving picture, there is provided a synchronization controller which calculates the transmission time of a signal transmitted between an audio processing CPU and a moving picture processing CPU, transmits an audio processing start signal, commanding the start of the audio processing, to the audio processing CPU through the moving picture processing CPU, and transmits, at a timing when the previously calculated transmission time has elapsed as from the transmission of the sound processing start signal, a moving picture processing start command signal, commanding the start of the moving picture processing, to the moving picture processing CPU.
Abstract: Disclosed is a complex elliptic filter having an order of three or higher which receives two differential signals that differ in phase from each other by 90 degrees are applied and outputs two differential signals that differ in phase from each other by 90 degrees. The complex filter circuit has internally at least two circuit blocks that include a capacitor connected in series with a coupler (gyrator). The complex filter is a third-order inverse Chebychev filter having an equiripple stopband of 40-dB attenuation amount. Alternatively, the coupler (gyrator) between elliptic capacitors is removed. Alternatively, the elliptic capacitors are made substantially equal to the capacitor arranged in parallel therewith. Alternatively, the gm value of an OTA and the capacitance value are each in an integral ratio represented substantially by a geometric progression of 2.
Abstract: A sewing frame for extending and holding a sewing cloth is provided with a supported portion, such as a shaft and an engagement portion, which is movably or rotatably supported at front and rear frame side portions of the rectangular support frame at the front and rear ends. A sewing frame drive mechanism includes a support mechanism for supporting the front and rear ends of the sewing frame movably at the front and rear frame side portions of the support frame which is movable in the longitudinal direction but not movable in the lateral direction. The sewing frame drive unit includes left and right protruding portions to the left and right of recess portions of a table, and a front hanging preventive mechanism formed of left and right frame side portions of the support frame movably disposed on the left and right protruding portions in the longitudinal direction.
Abstract: The present invention relates to fuel cells and components used within a fuel cell. Heat transfer appendages are described that improve fuel cell thermal management. Each heat transfer appendage is arranged on an external portion of a bi-polar plate and permits conductive heat transfer between inner portions of the bi-polar plate and outer portions of the bi-polar plate proximate to the appendage. The heat transfer appendage may be used for heating or cooling inner portions of a fuel cell stack. Improved thermal management provided by cooling the heat transfer appendages also permits new channel field designs that distribute the reactant gases to a membrane electrode assembly. Flow buffers are described that improve delivery of reactant gases and removal of reaction products. Single plate bi-polar plates may also include staggered channel designs that reduce the thickness of the single plate.
Abstract: A process for producing herbicides from a fungus Alternaria alteranata f.sp. lantanae deposited as a pure culture as MTCC 5432 and ITCC-4896, comprising culturing the fungus in a liquid broth; subjecting the broth to the step of filtration to separate the broth containing phytotoxins from mycelium; extracting the phytotoxins from said broth to obtain the phytotoxins; and subjecting the phytotoxins to chemical characterization.

Abstract: A frame relay data rate RFR for a VoIP call is determined based on a particular packetization time interval TS and its associated sample data size BS for a particular CODEC, a size BHT of at least one of a frame relay header and a frame relay trailer, and a size BIP of an IP header. A number of VoIP calls NUMVOIP that can be supported by a frame relay access link is determined based on a bandwidth of the frame relay access link that is to be allocated to VoIP traffic, and the frame relay data rate RFR. At least one network parameter is determined based on NUMVOIP. Bandwidth in an asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) network is allocated for the VoIP traffic based on the at least one network parameter.
