  • Patent number: 7224261
Abstract: When transmitting an instruction for activating an immobilizer function to a vehicle, a base station also transmits a given password for releasing the immobilizer function. When receiving the instruction and the given password, an immobilizer ECU outputs an instruction for prohibiting an engine from starting. Prohibition of engine start is released only when the given password is inputted on a display. Therefore, a regular user alone, who knows the given password, can start the engine.

  • Patent number: 7224268
Abstract: A vehicle positioning control apparatus includes a vehicle positioning detection device, a vehicle positioning sudden change detection device, a tire air pressure reduction detection device, and a plurality of tire air pressure adjustment mechanisms. The vehicle positioning detection device detects a physical quantity indicating a positioning of a vehicle. The vehicle positioning sudden change detection device detects sudden changes in the positioning based on the physical quantity. The tire air pressure reduction detection device detects which of a plurality of wheels has undergone a reduction in tire air pressure. When a sudden change in positioning is detected, all wheels other than the wheel having undergone a reduction in pressure are designated as pressure reduction target wheels. The tire air pressure of the pressure reduction target wheels is reduced by the tire air pressure adjustment mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 7224414
Abstract: An active matrix liquid crystal display device which has color filters disposed on a TFT (Thin-Film Transistor) substrate, and which reduces the effect of light leakage regions over data lines for an increased viewing angle. The liquid crystal display device has the data lines disposed on the TFT substrate at respective gaps between adjacent two of pixel electrodes, for supplying data signals to TFTs to drive pixel electrodes, and a black matrix disposed on the TFT substrate in association with the data lines for blocking light passing in a predetermined viewing angle range through a light leakage region created in the liquid crystal layer depending on a potential difference between adjacent two of the pixel electrodes.

  • Patent number: 7224861
Abstract: A switch core is set forth that comprises a plurality of duplex switches that are interconnected with a interconnection fabric to implement, for example, strictly non-blocking operation of the switch core for reciprocal traffic. In one embodiment, an N-way reciprocal switch is implemented. The N-way reciprocal switch comprises a plurality of duplex switches numbering N of at least a 1×(N?1) switch type (e.g., the duplex switches have at least N?1 ports available for connection to implement the interconnection fabric). The interconnection fabric interconnects the plurality of duplex switches so that each duplex switch is connected to every other duplex switch used in the interconnection fabric by a single connection. A similar architecture using switches numbering N of at least a 1×N switch type are also set forth.

  • Patent number: 7224754
Abstract: A frequency offset compensation estimation system and method for a wireless local area network. First, a preamble sequence of a frequency package is sent to a frequency offset estimation (FOE) device so that an initial frequency offset signal amount is obtained and sent to the frequency offset compensation (FOE) device for compensation. Then, the compensated signal is sent to a frequency offset residual phase estimation (FOS RPE) device so as to calculate an offset amount of the frequency and send it to the frequency offset residual phase compensation (FOS RPC) device for compensation. The present invention mainly employs a residual frequency offset estimation device (Residual FOE device) to estimate the residual frequency offset signal of each of the frequency signals compensated by the frequency compensation device and feedback it to the frequency compensation device for compensation.

  • Patent number: 7222978
Abstract: A mirror support plate for use with vehicles, which can be attached to a holder by way of a chucking and sliding connection. The support plate is provided with two ridges which protrude from its back and include at least one projection which extends towards the other ridge in such manner that the border region of the holder can be inserted between the back of the holder and the projections. The mirror support plate includes a first elastic element and second elastic element, which function as upper and lower elements. The elastic elements are designed so that as the holder is inserted, it elastically deforms the lower one of the first and second elastic elements towards the back of the mirror support plate allowing outer edges of the holder to move into frictional contact with the projections and the back of the support plate and its upper end into interlocking contact with the upper of the first and second elastic elements.
