  • Patent number: 8348932
Abstract: A method and system of treating connective tissue to increase flexibility of the connective tissue or decrease tension in the connective tissue includes forming perforations in the connective tissue to at least 90% of the depth or thickness of the connective tissue and maintaining the perforations in the connective tissue. The method alters the tissue to enhance the fundamental mechanisms involved the immunology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics of the metabolism of the connective tissue.

  • Patent number: 8340994
Abstract: In a process for creating media content, media submissions are requested and electronically received from end users and stored in a computer database. The submissions are searched for material to be included in the media content, and cross-checked against the other submissions for originality and timeliness. After the material is selected from one or more submissions, the content is developed and released to an audience for review. The end users whose submission material was included in the released content are rewarded. In one embodiment, third parties are permitted to access and search the submissions on an open exchange. The third parties can bid for rights in submissions on the open exchange. After receiving these bids, they are forwarded to the particular submission's end user for acceptance or rejection. Appropriate billing and payment processes are used to bill and pay the parties involved.

  • Patent number: 8338347
Abstract: A system for substantially reducing surface contaminants of a food substance comprising a substantially transparent and odorless solution made from a plurality of substantially organic compounds selected from: citric acid, sodium citrate, vegetable glycerin, sea salt, potassium sorbate, decyl glucoside, calcium ascorbate, grapefruit seed extract, and sodium bisulfite, and an applicator for applying the solution to the food substance. The solution ratio of organic compounds is approximately: 2% citric acid, 2% sodium citrate, 0.2% vegetable glycerin, 0.2% potassium sorbate; 0% to 0.4% decyl glucoside, 0% to 0.2% calcium ascorbate, 0% to 0.2% grapefruit seed extract, 0% to 0.1% sodium bisulfite, and 0.2% to 2% sea salt.

  • Patent number: 7871404
Abstract: A method and system of treating connective tissue to alter the biomechanical and fundamental properties of the connective tissue by forming perforations in the connective tissue to at least 90% of the depth or thickness of the connective tissue and maintaining the perforations in the connective tissue. The method alters the tissue to enhance the fundamental mechanisms involved in the immunology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics of the metabolism of the connective tissue. The connective tissue may be any desired connective tissue. The connective tissue of the eye may be removed to form a first desired pattern of perforations in the connective tissue of the eye at a first distance from the corneal center of the eye. Connective tissue is removed from the eye to form a second desired pattern of perforations in the tissue of the eye at a second distance from the corneal center of the eye.
