  • Patent number: 8005844
Abstract: To efficiently retain data online, an instance of a data set may be generated. The instance may have a set of data fields with corresponding data values. The instance also may be searchable in response to a data selection request. Another instance may be generated, which also may have a set of data fields with corresponding data values, and which also may be searchable in response to a data selection request. The two instances may each use its own blueprint to normalize data, to perform searches and to return search results. Both of the instances may be stored online such that they are stored independently but are accessible jointly.

  • Patent number: 7975005
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention provides a system configured to enable a proxy to redirect downloads from a web server to one or more remote machines via a command issued from a local computer web browser. In one embodiment, a user accesses the web server with a web browser on a local computer, and uses the web browser to initiate the download from the web server. Connection and authentication information for the download is sent to a router/proxy which is connected to both the local machine and the one or more remote machines. The router/proxy redirects the download to a process running on the one or more remote machines, where the download is then saved. The web browser on the local computer is then notified when the download is complete.

  • Patent number: 7966348
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention includes dynamically selecting templates through the use of an ontology. In one embodiment, an ontology is defined to structure information system content, and an ontology classification is then assigned when content is provided to the information system. Based on this classification, the most appropriate template classified in the ontology is applied to the content. If a template exists at the content item's ontology level, this template is applied to the content. If no template exists, then the ontology tree is navigated upward to locate a template at the nearest ancestor ontology level. If a template was found by navigating the ontology tree, then this template is applied to the content item.

  • Patent number: 7962547
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention includes capturing a client browser state and communicating this captured browser state within markup text for logging at a web server. In one embodiment, the contents of the DOM (Document Object Model) of a webpage accessed by a client are traversed and written as markup text in a string of characters, such as HTML. This markup, in addition to metadata specific to identify the browser display environment, is transmitted from the client to the server as text within a HTTP request. The server may then log the markup text and the metadata for later access. The logged markup text and the metadata can be used to recreate the exact display which occurred within the client browser, and therefore provide details useful for webpage problem determination, testing, and development.

  • Patent number: 7957227
Abstract: The present invention provides for a method for reducing undesirable skipping during playback of a compact disc in a compact disc player. A lens system of the compact disc player reads audio data and subcode data from the compact disc. The subcode data includes Q channel bits and P channel bits. The actual time lapse of the compact disc playback is calculated from the Q channel bits and the P channel bits, while a target time lapse is calculated based on data received from a real-time clock. The difference between the two time lapse values is calculated, and if the differences is greater than a predetermined threshold, the lens system is repositioned to read the audio data from the compact disc corresponding to a predetermined time interval in advance of the current position of the lens system.

  • Patent number: 7925521
Abstract: A system for managing remote doctor medical request workflow may include a workflow module that optimizes assignments of medical requests to remote doctors based on parameterized doctor and scheduling information and may further include a forecasting module that predicts the hospital credentials, state licenses or doctors needed to fulfill a projected volume of future medical requests. In one embodiment, radiologists are parameterized and then matched with requests for radiological readings based on information extracted from DICOM image headers and merged with associated information contained in a medical work order. In this embodiment, the radiologists are parameterized based on their locations, schedules, hospital credentials, state licensing, compensation metrics, and performance metrics and incoming requests for review of CT scans and the like are filtered based on the parameterized radiologist information to identify one or more radiologists who are to fulfill the medical request.

  • Patent number: 7874197
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring a rate of liquid flow through a spray nozzle includes a container with an opening in a top thereof adapted to receive a liquid discharge from a spray nozzle. A level sensor comprises an electrical capacitor oriented substantially vertically in the container and configured such that as liquid rises in the container, a capacitance of the capacitor changes. A processor circuit is connected to the capacitor and is operative to measure the change in capacitance of the capacitor and convert the change in capacitance into a rate of liquid flow into the container, and a display is operative to display the rate of liquid flow. The apparatus is applicable to an agriculture or industrial application whereby an operator can periodically check the flow to determine wear or plugging of a spray nozzle.
