Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods and computer program products for generating search results comprising web documents with associated expert information. One embodiment of a method for generating such search results includes receiving one or more search queries, selecting one of the one or more search queries, determining one or more categories of web documents responsive to the selected search query and crawling a web graph of linked web documents to identify one or more web documents tagged as within the one or more categories responsive to the selected search query. The method further includes generating a result set of the one or more web documents identified as within the one or more categories responsive to the selected search query, ranking the result set and generating a list of ranked search results responsive to the selected search.

Abstract: Methods and systems for infusing a cooled infusate to a target location in a patient are described. A temperature of the blood and infusate admixture upstream of the catheter as well as at other locations along the catheter may be monitored and a feedback system utilized to control the volume, temperature, and/or infusion rate of the infusate so as to achieve a predetermined temperature at the target location. Control may also be based on the patient's native vessel flow rate. The system may monitor or calculate hematocrit upstream of the catheter and adjust infusion so as to provide sufficient oxygenation of the blood and infusate admixture. The system may also monitor reflux of the infusate past a distal end of the catheter and reduce infusion upon the detection of reflux.

Abstract: Methods and corresponding systems are provided for providing and administering deferred annuities with an annuity reset feature that provide periodic income payments to an annuitant for a term beginning at a start date. The methods include the step or steps of: receiving annuity information for an annuitant; determining at a first date one of a purchase price and an amount of at least one income payment due to the annuitant at the start date. The purchase price or the amount of at least one income payment due the annuitant includes a fee for the annuity reset feature that resets at least one variable of the annuity at a reset date later than the first date if the at least one variable of the annuity at the reset date is more beneficial to the annuitant than at least the first date; and offering the annuity with the reset feature to the annuitant.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an organic lighting device, having a form factor substantially equal to or less than 900 square centimeters, without involving a cutting process is provided. The method includes providing one or more first substrates with a size substantially equal to the form factor. Thereafter, the method includes a high throughput first processing of the one or more first substrates and active layer deposition processing on the one or more first substrates. Further, one or more second substrates having a size substantially equal or less than the form factor are provided. Thereafter, a high throughput second processing is performed on the one or more second substrates. Finally, the method includes encapsulating at least one of the one or more first substrates with at least one of the one or more second substrates to form the organic lighting device having the form factor.

Abstract: A computerized method for detecting related events in a water monitoring system. The method includes receiving event data from a plurality of sensors in a water network. The method also includes identifying at least two candidate events from the event data as being candidate events which are likely to constitute part of a common anomaly event, the candidate events each being substantially anomalous. An event combination rule is selected. One or more event characteristics are compared between the at least two candidate events based on the event combination rule. The at least two candidate events are determined whether they are related and associated with a common event causing the at least two candidate events on the basis of the comparison. The determination of the at least two candidate events are related and associated with a common event is reported to a user via a user interface.

Abstract: A small and compact, easy-to-use soil moisture management device is disclosed that is economical to produce, efficient to use, has a scientific measurement system and is easy for the user to read the moisture needs of a plant in a hanging container. The device includes a housing that is attached at one end to hardware for supporting the device and a hanging basket that contains a plant in soil and moisture in varying amounts in the soil. The device also includes a moving member that is biased by a spring against the gravitational pull on the hanging basket, plant, soil and moisture. The spring and a portion of the moving member is contained in the housing. The moving member also contains visual indicators of the position of the moving member against the bias provided by the spring to indicate the amount of moisture in the soil.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment computerized methods and corresponding systems for providing guaranteed income payments to an investor are provided that include the step or steps of: receiving information from the investor representing at least a current age of the investor, a desired income start date, a desired income payment amount, and a premium payment amount; receiving a premium payment from the investor and placing the premium payment into a first investment sleeve; and automatically transferring using at least one computing device, during a waiting period and according to a predefined event, a portion of the premium payment from the first investment sleeve to a second investment sleeve, wherein the portion of the premium payment transferred calculated by the at least one computing device as a function of a time remaining in the waiting period and the desired income amount.

Abstract: A search query is received. Personal information for a user is then determined. A search is performed in a general subdomain of general content using the search query. For example, the general subdomain of general content may be a WWW search. Then, a vertical subdomain is determined based on the personal information. A search is then performed in the vertical subdomain of specialized content using the search query. The search performed in the general subdomain and the search performed in the vertical subdomain generate general search results and vertical search results. The results may be combined and outputted to a client.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods, systems, and computer readable media comprising instructions for identifying needy queries for which additional responsive content is needed. The method of the present invention comprises receiving a query comprising one or more terms and retrieving one or more content items identified as responsive to the query, the one or more content items ranked according to one or more ranking techniques. A score is generated for the one or more ranked content items identified as responsive to the query. A determination is thereafter made as to whether the query is needy based upon a comparison of the one or more scores associated with the one or more content items identified as responsive to the query and a needy query score threshold.

Abstract: An impact analysis software system is described which resides on a computer connected to a network in an enterprise. The system analyzes the impact of network events on the network, and includes a number of modules, including a number of data source adapters for interfacing with external data sources to thereby allow access by the system to enterprise-related data in the external data sources. The system further includes an impact analysis data structure populated with data accessed from the external data sources and defining relationships between the enterprise-related data. One or more action tree data structures comprise a routine which, when executed, acts upon the relationships defined by the impact analysis data structure to handle events. A message processor reads the network events and select one of the action tree data structures to handle each read network event.

Abstract: Family protection insurance provides for a flexible and adjustable insurance policy that can be adjustable to be consistent with changes in the adult's insurance needs. The insurance policy is a term policy where, at predefined intervals, the policy owner may increase the policy value without requiring additional underwriting. The policy owner may also, at any time, convert all or a portion of the term policy to permanent insurance, while still maintaining the term policy and replenish the death benefit amounts of the term policy through the intermittent value increments. Thus, adults may adjust the death benefits of the term policy and convert the term policy death benefits to permanent insurance consistent with changing insurance needs.

Abstract: Generally, a method and apparatus provides for rating user generated content (UGC) with respect to search engine results. The method and apparatus includes recognizing a UGC data field collected from a web document located at a web location. The method and apparatus calculates: a document goodness factor for the web document; an author rank for an author of the UGC data field; and a location rank for web location. The method and apparatus thereby generates a rating factor for the UGC field based on the document goodness factor, the author rank and the location rank. The method and apparatus also outputs a search result that includes the UGC data field positioned in the search results based on the rating factor.

Abstract: A golf training apparatus is provided that includes one or more components, such as a chipping mat, a putting mat, and a chipping basket. The chipping mat includes a base and at least one section of artificial turf disposed over the base and at least one section of artificial turf includes at least one simulated divot disposed therein. The chipping mat may include a plurality of sections of artificial turf, each simulating a different type of grass found on a golf course, such as the fairway, rough, and deep rough. The putting mat has a section in a first geometric shape that tapers toward or into a section in a second geometric shape smaller than the first geometric shape having the hole disposed therein. The chipping basket has a plurality of sides with at least one of the sides having a variable sized hole disposed therein.

Abstract: Generally, the present invention provides a method and computerized system for monitoring REST web services including generating a REST based web service client call operative to be used for monitoring web service activities. The web service client call is then deployed. The method and computerized system further includes monitoring the web service activities via the call invocation and a response analysis. The method and computerized system further includes receiving a plurality of feedback results from the monitoring of the web service functionality and thereupon adjusting the web service parameters based on the aggregated feedback.

Abstract: A method comprises receiving a search request to search a bookmark package database storing bookmarks and tag information, e.g., user-generated keywords; using the search request to search the tag information in the bookmark package database to locate relevant bookmarks and to generate search results; and presenting the search results to a user. The search results may identify user-specific relevant bookmarks, and/or relevant bookmarks regardless of the creator. The method may include determining related terms and enabling selection of the related terms to initiate additional searching. The method may include generating a relevance value based on keyword order, meta-information type, number of bookmarks to a given content item, number of hits on a given bookmark, time of last bookmarking to a given content item, and/or content analysis. Search result organization may be based on the relevance values. The bookmark package database may further store automatically generated and user-generated meta-information.

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards systems and methods for providing scenario based content responsive to a given client. The method of the present invention comprises receiving a content request from a given client. Characteristics associated with a client from whom the content request is received are then identified. One or more scenarios corresponding to the one or more characteristics associated with the client are subsequently identified and the client is provided with the content associated with the one or more identified scenarios.

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards systems and methods for generating a just-in-time reputation score. The method according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises receiving a user generated content item from a user, calculating an initial reputation score and retrieving a plurality of rules. The method then analyzes the user generated content item based on the rules and determines a just-in-time reputation score based on the analysis. Finally, the method displays the just-in-time reputation score and the content item to the user.
