Abstract: Aircraft air funnel slat system of this invention for increased lift to aircraft wings and rotors comprises a pair of symmetrical and retractable slats or flaps or planks or other similarly shaped strong rigid and light weight rectangular members angled above the leading edge of aircraft wings so as to form a funnel over each wing so as to provide increased airspeed above the wing and increased lift from below the wing, which in turn greatly reduces the take off and landing distance so as to result in V/STOL aircraft.
