  • Patent number: 7873264
Abstract: Play list information is recorded on the local storage 200. The play list information contains main-path information and sub-path information. The main-path information specifies one among a plurality of AVClips as a MainClip and defines a main reproduction section for the MainClip. The sub-path information specifies another one among the plurality of AVClips as a SubClip and defines, for the SubClip, a sub reproduction section to be synchronized with the main reproduction section. On the local storage 200, an audio stream specified as the SubClip is recorded. The audio stream includes a plurality of PES packets which are each attached with a packet identifier (PID) that includes an upper field and a lower field. The upper field indicates that the audio stream containing the packet is a secondary audio stream whose reproduction output is able to be mixed with a reproduction output of the primary audio stream.

  • Patent number: 7873270
Abstract: An interchangeable lens type camera system includes a camera body and an interchangeable lens mountable to the camera body. An error detector detects whether a communication error occurs between a communication unit of the camera body and a communication unit of the interchangeable lens. A display unit displays a first error handling message when the error detector detects the communication error at a time of activation of the interchangeable lens, and displays a second error handling message when the error detector detects the communication error after activation of the interchangeable lens.

  • Patent number: 7865060
Abstract: A BD-ROM stores PlayList information. The PlayList information defines a playback section of each of a plurality of AV clips and includes MainPath information and SubPath information. The MainPath information designates one of the AV clips as a Main Clip and defines a portion of the Main Clip as a primary playback section. The SubPath information designates another one of the AV clips as a SubClip and defines a portion of the SubClip as a secondary playback section that is to be played back in synchronism with the primary playback section. The BD-ROM stores, the one of the AV clips designated as the SubClip along with an EP_map. The EP_map shows a plurality of entry points on the SubClip in a one-to-one correspondence with entry times on the SubClip timeline.

  • Patent number: 7856169
Abstract: A BD-ROM playback apparatus for selecting and playing back one among text subtitle streams together with a moving picture. PSR 48-61 store Decode Capability flags whose set values indicate, for each language, whether or not a decode capability is present. Procedure executing unit 20 judges whether each text subtitle stream can be displayed, by referring to each set value of flags. Stream selection unit 17 selects a text subtitle stream judged as being able to be decoded. Here, the decode capability for a language being present indicates presence of rendering capability for converting character codes of the language into bitmaps, and support capability for supporting properties of the language. The b16 to b23 in PSR 30 includes a permission flag indicating whether stream selection unit 17 is permitted to select an unsupported language for which rendering capability is present but not support capability.

  • Patent number: 7775109
Abstract: A sensor device includes a time determining part that determines time point information, and adds the time point information to the output supplied from a part subjected to failure diagnosis and related to generation of a failure detection signal, and to the output related to generation of a sense signal. With this structure, the failure detection signal is correlated with the sense signal by the time point information. Alternatively, the sensor device includes an output circuit that correlates the failure detection signal with the sense signal supplied at the same time point as the failure detection signal, and outputs both signals using a time division method.

  • Patent number: 7764868
Abstract: Recorded on the recording medium (BD-ROM) is an AV stream that is obtained by multiplexing a video stream and one or more audio streams. MOVIE objects are scenarios showing playback procedures of video data described using playback device-oriented commands. In addition to the MOVIE objects, enhanced-mode scenarios (Java and WebPage objects) are also recorded on the recording medium. These enhanced-mode scenarios, each of which is described in the Java language or a markup language, show control procedures with respect to playback devices. The Java and WebPage objects are capable of taking over register setting values set by MOVIE objects, and extracting parts of video data played by MOVIE objects.

  • Patent number: 7729598
Abstract: On a BD-ROM, there is recorded is a digital stream into which video and audio streams are multiplexed. The video stream is composed of a plurality of pictures that together represent video. The graphics stream includes a PES packet storing state control information (ICS) and PES packets containing graphics data (ODSs). The graphics data constructs an interactive display. The state control information defines the control so as to change the states of buttons presented on the interactive display according to the reproduction proceeding and user operations. The ICS is attached with a PTS showing the display timing of a picture to be synchronized with the interactive display. The ODS is attached with a PTS showing the timing for decoding the graphics data. The timing shown in the ODS is prior to the display timing.

  • Patent number: 7720355
Abstract: A BD-ROM has a video stream, playlist information, and an entry map recorded thereon. The playlist information defines a playback path by indicating a sequence of one or more pairs of a playback start time (In_time) and a playback end time (Out_time) within the video stream. The entry map (EP_map) indicates positions (SPN_EP_start) and playback times (PTS_EP_start) of a plurality of intra pictures in the video stream, in one-to-on correspondence with flags (is_angle_change_point). Each flag indicates whether a corresponding intra picture is an intra picture (IDR picture) for causing decoder refresh or an intra picture (Non-IDR picture) having reference to a preceding picture.
