  • Patent number: 6279659
Abstract: An assembly for drilling at least one lateral well from a well bore having a longitudinally premilled window formed therein and having a first orientation key-way member formed in the premilled window and in communication with the premilled window and located on the down hole portion of the premilled window and having a second orientation key-way member formed in the premilled window and in communication with the premilled window and located on the up hole portion of the premilled window. The window is provided with a cover for closing the premilled window and first and second orientation key way members from fluid communication. A whip stock is provided for drilling at least one multilateral well. A key is provided which is spring loaded for being received into the premilled window and guided into locking engagement in the first orientation key way as the key is lowered down hole.

  • Patent number: 5328158
Abstract: An apparatus for continuous heat treating advancing continuously formed pipe in a restricted space with minimal deformation of the pipe during the heat treatment comprising a pipe feeder; curved rollers for receiving the pipe and advancing the pipe there around. A heat chamber for housing the curved rollers. A heat source for providing heat to the heat chamber and the pipe. A first deforming element for deforming the pipe into a curve for following the curve rollers and for directing the pipe to transverse across the rollers as the pipe is advanced around the rollers. A second deforming means for receiving and deforming the said pipe as it exists from the rollers into a substantial straight line and a take-up roller for receiving the pipe as it comes through the second deforming means.

  • Patent number: 5213232
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing single homogeneous units upon rotation of the apparatus comprising a generally circular walled container having a bottom for holding the singular homogeneous units. A discharge area located distally from the bottom for receiving the single homogeneous units and for discharging them upon rotation of the apparatus. A helical spiraled rib member located on the generally circular walled container extending from the bottom of the container and along the circular walls of the container for creating during rotation a continuously variable inclined surface along the helical spiraled rib member and the circular walls of the container for advancing single homogeneous units along said helical spiralled rib member and the generally circular walls of the container until a single homogeneous unit reaches the discharge area for discharge from the container.

  • Patent number: 5148655
Abstract: An apparatus for slicing and bagging substantially flat food products comprising a frame and a holder conforming to the shape of the food product to be sliced for holding the food in vertical stacked alignment and removably attached to the frame and having at least one slicer faced toward the food product to be sliced and mounted across the holder; and a ram having recessed sections conforming with the slicer for completely driving the food products through the slicer and completely slicing the food products without contacting the slicer, and a coordinated follower positioned below the slicer, a small but effective distance from the slicer for receiving the food products as they are sliced and for preventing the food products from being flayed out of the vertical stacked alignment as the food is sliced and a bagging apparatus for progressively bagging the food as it is sliced and received from the slicer.

  • Patent number: 5040831
Abstract: A non threaded pipe connecting system for connecting pipe without the use of threads comprising; a first pipe member; a second pipe connector member having at least two slots formed therein and an inside diameter larger than the outside diameter of the first pipe member for receiving and snugly fitting about the outside diameter of the first pipe member; at least one o-ring mounted between the first and second pipe members for forming a seal therebetween and; a U-shaped clip member having generally parallel legs for being driven along the slots of the second pipe connector member on the outside of the second pipe member for sharply deforming the surface of the first pipe member on at least two sides and for forming an angle with said first pipe member along the sharply deformed area on the first pipe member for preventing the first pipe member from moving after insertion into the second pipe connector member.
