Abstract: The present invention relates to a vent pipe protection cover for repairing damaged flashing or for any new construction for waterproofing the vent pipe. A two piece construction which allows one device to accommodate roof pitches and various size vent pipes without the need to custom make the device is disclosed.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a braking apparatus and an elevator system comprising the braking apparatus for grasping or gripping a hoisting rope of the elevator. The system comprises a pair of brake shoes, a motorized rotatable camshaft with at least one cam surface for pressing against a push plate to compress a spring means and keep the shoes apart or when the motor is disengaged cause the cam shaft to not push on the push plate such that the springs expand cause the brake shoes to come together and grip the hoisting rope.
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of producing an antigenic response in which an antigen is contacted to an antigen-presenting cell, wherein the improvement comprises contacting the antigen-presenting cell with an A1 adenosine receptor activating agent in an amount sufficient to increase the antigenic response of the antigen-presenting cell to the antigen. The present invention further provides methods, compositions, combination therapies, imaging techniques, and diagnostic kits that may improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and/or survival of cancer patients, pathogen-infected patients, and infectious or non-infectious immune-deficient patients.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a welding booth that has a small foot print and can be joined to other booths for maximization of floor space use.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a ski lift chair specifically designed for use by snowboarders. The chair comprises a plurality of seats facing perpendicular to the line of travel direction and can be either in-line back to back, in-line front-to-back or a combination of the two. The chair can be mixed on a ski lift with chairs designed for skiers or used alone with only snowboarder chairs.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of treating dermatologic pruritis. The skin involved with purities is covered with an organic cloth in order to make it more difficult to scratch. The contact of the organic cloth not only makes it difficult to scratch but adds a soothing feel thus lessening the tendency to need to scratch.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a motorized device that can be operated by one person to load and unload a motorcycle onto and off of a truck bed or similar cargo area of a motor vehicle or trailer. The device taught herein may be employed to lift a motorcycle to the level of the truck bed then moved within the bed for transport and storage.
Abstract: A flexible magnetic interconnect is disclosed. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a module having a recess therein. A magnetic structure is moveable within the recess and a flexible circuit cooperates with the module to retain the magnetic structure within the recess. Movement of the magnetic structure is caused by magnetic attraction between the magnetic structure and an external magnetic structure. The flexible circuit includes a compliant contact, which changes shape by movement of the magnetic structure.

Abstract: A covered hammock that acts as both a hammock and a ground tent is disclosed which has a plurality of curved support means for keeping the upper fabric off the user and also for supporting the device as a tent when used on the ground.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a means for monitoring the utility usage in a building with individual units but serviced by a single utility company meter. The individual units receive a pulse flow meter which is hard wired to a central unit and then sent to the internet for reading and then splitting the utility bill into prorated utility bills based on actual usage rather than size of the individual unit as a percentage of the whole unit.
Abstract: A routine clock for visually and audibly identifying time periods and events is disclosed. The routine clock may have indicators placed on the routine clock that may be variable in size corresponding to variable time periods. Within the time periods, unique events may be identified and when the time for a specific event has been reached, an audio announcement or visual indication or both may occur.
Abstract: A dog boot is provided comprising a generally vertical and cylindrical elongated tubular legging portion ending in and connected to a toe-box portion both of which are attached within a generally horizontal non-slide sole portion. The legging portion extends upwardly from the toe-box portion and defines an offset longitudinal slit providing adjacent, opposite, overlapping flap portions that are equipped with loop and hook fastening material allowing for ease of insertion and extraction of the dog's leg and paw. The generally tubular legging portion has two adjustable fastening straps for cinching the legging portion securely at two separate points around the dog's leg. Within the non-slide portion is a removable sole insert shaped to receive the pads of the dog's paw wherein the removable sole insert works as a shock absorber for the dog and adds comfort and stability during wear.
