Abstract: A reducing agent dosing device for delivering a reducing agent into the exhaust gas system 8 of the internal combustion engine 2 of a motor vehicle, comprising a reducing agent tank 3 connected to the exhaust gas system 8 via a supply line 5, 7 with a dosing valve 6 for delivering a specific quantity of reducing agent. The dosing valve 6 is disposed at a distance from the exhaust gas system 8 in the supply line 5, 7 and the output of the dosing valve 6 terminates in a mixing chamber 7. Compressed air, provided by the charge air of a charging group 10 of the internal combustion engine 2, flows though the mixing chamber in the direction toward the exhaust gas system 8 to mix the reducing agent output with an air stream.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the application of a coating to a pipeline, FPS (Fire Protection System) or to pipe stock from which a pipeline is fabricated. A composition which when applied to the inside surface of the pipe prevents either chemical corrosion or microbiologically influenced corrosion is disclosed. Also disclosed is a method for utilizing this material to protect both existing pipelines and the raw stock used to construct pipelines and various apparatus for applying a coating of the composition, cleaning, and maintenance of the passive coating. Also disclosed is a method to recycle the composition to be used in other industrial pacification processes.
Abstract: Solvent extraction is used to remove wax and contaminants from an iron-based Fischer-Tropsch catalyst in a natural circulation continuous-flow system. The wax-free catalyst is then subjected to controlled oxidation to convert the iron to its initial oxidized state, Fe2O3. Reactivation of the oxide catalyst precursor is carried out by addition of synthesis gas.

Abstract: A fence winding reel device including a rotatable frame with a slotted groove along its length and a pair of curved plates, together which comprise an expandable core. In an expanded position, a pair of expanders holds the pair of curved plates away the frame. An end of fence wire is placed into the slotted groove of the frame. The reel device may be connected to any standard earth auger mounted on a skidsteer loader. As the auger motor rotates, fence wire is wound around the expandable core to form a wound fence coil. Removing the fence coil from the reel device involves contracting the core, which narrows the distance between the expanders and the frame, and sliding the coil off the core and out of the frame groove. The reel device may also be used to lay down fence wire by operating the auger motor in a reverse rotational direction. A hydraulic core expander is also depicted.
Abstract: A control system for increasing the fuel economy in a combustion engine by controlling the limit of turbo boost under a given set of conditions regarding vehicle speed. When a vehicle speed is above the manufactures drop-out speed, an intermediate set speed limit (between drop-out speed and cruise set speed) and a turbo boost limit is set. Turbo boost is limited to a specific pounds per square inch as long as the vehicle speed exceeds the intermediate set speed. By limiting the turbo boost, the fuel efficiency is increased while the vehicle is operating above the intermediate set speed. The vehicle FES can be designed to operate in an automatic mode, a semi-automatic mode or a manual mode, although an automatic mode of operation is most desirable.
Abstract: A downhole mud motor (100) is disclosed which has an improved bearing mandrel (107) and a bearing stop (105) to transfer a larger percentage of the weight of a drill string to the bit. Also improved sealing systems (113) (114) (220) (515(706) for the transmission section and bearing section (116) (310) (117) (118) (119) prevent drilling mud from entering critical components. A piston stop is provided to prevent the piston from damaging other parts as the piston moves under pressure. Compensating pressure assembly (204) preferably including a disk (1408) is placed in the lower housing (108) to prevent pressure from building up in the bearing section (308). A combination of grooved ball seats (130) and circumferentially spaced balls (127) are provided in the transmission section (200) (207) to allow for greater flow of lubricant around the ball bearings.

Abstract: A coffee bean container for an automatic coffee maker comprising a receptacle (2) for storing coffee beans, with an output shaft (4) via which coffee beans in the receptacle (2) can be supplied to a grinding mill. The coffee bean container has a coupling ring (7) disposed coaxially to the output shaft (4) for connecting the coffee bean container (1) to an automatic coffee maker. The coffee bean container (1) has a closure unit (12) for closing the output shaft (4) which has at least one closure element (13, 14). The at least one closure element (13, 14) is supported about a pivot axis parallel to the axis of the output shaft (4) and pivotable between an open and a closed position. The closure unit (12) includes a mechanical drive which mechanically couples the closure element(s) (13, 14) to a rotational movement of the receptacle (2) which moves the closure element(s) to the open position or closed position.
Abstract: An “inside out” process is used to make RF antennas and components or higher frequency components and/or optics. An electroformed single or multi layer of metal, such as copper, is applied to a reusable or disposable mandrel. Additional metal or composite components and/or pieces may be attached to the electroform by means of further electroforming, and/or applying adhesive and/or soldering. Any composite material (for example, fiberglass or carbon fiber reinforced plastic) is then applied selectively or uniformly around the electroform and/or additional components for structural reinforcement, and/or enhancement of thermal stability and/or thermal conductivity. The mandrel is then removed by physical or chemical means. Adhesion over temperature and humidity extremes, surface finish, uniform metalization thickness, and surface electrical conductivity are all vastly improved over equivalent electroplated composites.

Abstract: A carbon-bearing feedstock is reacted with oxygen and water in a partial oxidation reactor to produce a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide. The hydrogen is removed as a first product and the remaining carbon monoxide is reacted with steam over a bifunctional catalyst to produce higher hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide. The bifunctional catalyst provides water gas shift and Fischer-Tropsch functions.
Abstract: A piggyback carrier designed for the safe and economical transporting of a container piggybacked to the back or front of a vehicle. Specifically, the piggyback is designed to be attached to the container and to support the container during transportation. The piggyback carrier can be adjusted and may be fitted to most vehicles having conventional type hitches. A left and a right jack is removably attached to each side of the frame of the carrier to enable one man to jack up a heavy cargo, roll it to the vehicle and mount the frame to the hitch on the vehicle.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for rapid fixation and decalcification of calcified tissues using a MW oven with adjustable variable continuous power output, a specialized tissue handling system and an external temperature control device to maintain reagent temperature control external to the MW environment. Tissues are placed in cassettes, which are then placed in a tissue handling system. The tissue handling system also provides a specialized external container, which allows for the recirculation and cooling of reagents external to the MW cavity. The external device is a recirculation device having both heating and cooling capacities for a range of different processing reagents.

Abstract: Disclosed is a Doppler shifted radar apparatus for correct target identification with respect to surveillance of moving vehicles. More particularly, an improved radar detection system using two or more continuously transmitted frequencies is used. The multiple frequencies are directed toward target vehicles whereby the phase difference of the two or more reflected Doppler signals is calculated and subsequently used to accurately determine a target range, thereby displaying the closest vehicle and closest vehicle speed. Vehicle speed is determined with use of the standard Doppler frequency shift. The next closest and/or next faster vehicle speed can also be easily determined.
