Abstract: A jewelry and accessory display and storage system includes a foldable base material having arranged pairs of connecting elements spaced at intervals to create a display area with different sections. The connecting elements may be one of snaps, magnets, hook-and-look closures, and ties. Multiple modules, each for holding a particular type of jewelry or accessory, are provided with at least a pair of connecting elements that removably engage with the connecting elements attached to the base material to impart flexibility to the system configuration. The modules may include a necklace module, a bracelet module, a charm or pendant module, a ring module, a clip-on earring module, a stud earring module, a pierced earring module, a cufflink module, a decorative pin or medal module, a watch module, and a pocket module. A method of folding the system for transport is also disclosed.

Abstract: An industrial separator and dewatering plant has a filtering portion using an inclined conveyor belt for carrying away a watery cake from an aqueous mixture containing solid matter. The filtering portion further has a wash water spray nozzle directed at the conveyor belt so as to dislodge the watery cake penetrated within the conveyor belt. A dewatering portion has a compression auger screw positioned for receiving the dislodged watery cake and the wash water. An auger screw receives the wash water and cake which is transported to a compression cage where compression drives water out of the cake leaving a semi-solid cake which is pressed against a door where it exits the plant.

Abstract: An electrical adapter enables the conductors of a flexible cable to be extended into an armored conduit with electrical ground continuity and a rigid structural attachment. The adapter is cylindrical and has removable cover over an oblique aperture providing a highly rigid and strengthened fixture, which has a ground wire clamp for securement of the wires of the cable. An adapter collar is secured rotationally to one end of the adapter body for connecting the adapter to a nipple of an armored conduit mounted to a wall structure. The ground wire is secured to the ground wire fixture, and with the adapter collar secured to the armored conduit, electrical ground continuity is extended from the flexible cable to the armored conduit. With the removable cover secured over the access aperture, exposure of the ground wire clamp and the conductors of the flexible cable is eliminated.

Abstract: An arm sling provides elastic elongation to accommodate arms of differing lengths. Wedge shaped blocks are engagable with the sides of the sling to provide abduction of the sling. The sling is made predominantly of a net material so as to provide air circulation around the supported arm. An elastic sheet material supports the hand of the supported arm. A shoulder strap provides a movable cushioned pad for comfortable use of the sling as held by the strap.

Abstract: A hand tool apparatus for filling voids in a surface includes a cylindrical ram housing having an interior ram space. A ram rod is axially mounted within the ram space. A handle is collinearly engaged with the ram rod and extends outwardly from one end of the ram housing. A hopper positioned on the ram housing is in communication with the ram space within the ram housing. A trowel plate, having a straight edge, is positioned on a further end of the ram housing. The ram rod is guided along the interior of the ram housing by a groove guide, located on the interior of the ram housing, and a groove flange, located on a guide ring that is attached to the ram rod.

Abstract: A passively re-radiating cell phone sleeve assembly capable of conforming to and nesting with a cell phone provides a partial enclosure capable of fitting over at least a portion of the cell phone. A multi-layer radio frequency (RF) coupling probe is fully embedded within the enclosure in a position that is in close proximity to an internal antenna of the cell phone when the enclosure is nested with the cell phone. A coupling probe is inductively coupled to the internal antenna for sharing RF signals and is desensitized from de-tuning the internal antenna of the cell phone. An external antenna is mounted on the enclosure; and a transmission line embedded within the enclosure joins the coupling probe and the external antenna for RF signal transfer. RF transmission signals of the cell phone are radiated from both the internal and the external antennae simultaneously and without mutual interference.

Abstract: Described is a method of making and using an adherent guide strip on a damper wheel of a piston engine to adjust engine valves. The method includes cutting the strip to a length sufficient to exactly encircle the damper wheel; placing midpoint marks onto a visible outside surface of the strip; engaging the strip with a peripheral edge of the crankshaft pulley while aligning the strip for corresponding rotational positions of the damper wheel; and guiding rotation and positioning of the crankshaft and camshaft by the midpoint marks on the guide strip in order to more easily and accurately adjust the engine's valves.

Abstract: A rotating electromagnetic machine has a tubular axle with mounting rings, a common ring, a coil input ring, and at least one bearing set mounted on it. A fitting is secured at a distal end of the tubular axle, and a commutator is secured at the proximal end. A housing is mounted on the bearing sets through adaptors. Connecting bars extend axially within the axle with lateral rods joined to the connecting bars at their distal ends, the bars commuting between segments of the commutator electromagnetic coils. A plurality of the electromagnetic coils are secured to the coil input ring. The coils are formed of spiral turns of a single flat strip electrically conductive material. A plurality of peripheral and sector magnets are mounted adjacent to the electromagnetic coils with electromagnetic interaction when relative motion occurs between the coils and the magnets.

Abstract: A hand tool engages a pair of opposing matrix wedges that are able to mutually nest when pressed into an interproximal space between adjacent teeth. The hand tool draws a floss tightly thereby causing the wedges mounted on it to move convergently. The wedge elements support a thin matrix band which takes the necessary shape to secure a class II dental preparation.

Abstract: A gastric bariatric balloon includes an upper balloon chamber for sealing against the fundus, a lower balloon chamber for sealing against the antrum and occupying the body of the stomach, and a supplementary chamber for filling at least a portion of the fundus. A tubular inlet is proximal the esophagus entry for receiving a hollow needle. This inlet is filled with a self-sealing material so that when punctured by the needle the material closes the needle hole upon withdrawal of the needle. Spaced apart voids in the material enable fluid interchange between the needle and each of the three chambers separately depending upon the depth of the needle within the inlet tube. Safety arms are mounted on the upper balloon chamber so as to prevent passage of the balloon through the pylorus in case of sudden deflation.

Abstract: A mechanical drive uses two rotational clutches mounted in spaced apart positions on a common axle. Two sun gears are engaged respectively with the rotational clutches. A set of planet gears is engaged, with at least one of the planet gears meshed with each one of the sun gears. An internal tooth ring gear is meshed with at least two of the planet gears, wherein one of the planet gears is directed to each one of the sun gears. The planet gears are configured so that motion of the ring gear is transmitted to the two sun gears in opposing rotational senses and the rotational clutches are oriented for locking when under opposite rotational motions, whereby, reciprocating cyclic motion of the ring gear is transmitted to the common axle as continuous rotation in a singe rotational sense.

Abstract: A container for storing and dispensing consumable products. Modular construction is utilized wherein there is one base container and at least one subcontainer mounted above the base container. The base container has a floor, a peripheral wall, and a cover panel. Each subcontainer has a peripheral wall and a cover panel, and is coupled to a container below, such as the base container or another subcontainer, in stacked fashion. The cover panel of that container immediately below forms the floor of the container above, thereby obviating the necessity of forming a floor in each container. Each container may have a closure to enable contents to be withdrawn therefrom. The various containers are coupled together to form a stack by a removable band. When contents of the uppermost container are depleted, the empty container is removed from the stack to reveal the next container.

Abstract: An anatomically correct tongue scraping tool has a blade holder mounted at one end of an elongated handle and a replaceable blade selectively and rigidly engaged within the blade holder. A scraping portion of the blade extends outwardly from the blade holder and terminates with a smoothly integrated curvilinear edge having curve segments including: two spaced apart, concave segments, a convex segment, and two spaced apart, approximately circular segments which join the curvilinear edge with sides of the blade, wherein, the convex segment separates the concave segments and is positioned medially on the curvilinear edge.

Abstract: A system and method for delivering electrical power-on-demand to at least one load circuit wherein the system operates primarily with reactive power. The method includes inductively coupling power from a source in a primary circuit to one or more load circuits. The system is arranged to store magnetic energy in a core surrounded by planar coils positioned in parallel. The magnetic circuit is toroidal, symmetrical and circuitous. Magnetic energy is transferred between loads through the system. Back currents from the loads are able to be converted to magnetic field energy contributing to the total of stored energy available to the loads. Since the combined energy held in the system is primarily reactive, internal energy losses are small.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for playing wagering card games. The method provides for distribution of a pot based on a calculated value of the cards (equity) held by game's players so that the pot is distributed more equitably then is the case with a winner-take-all rule. In one embodiment of the method, the use of equity in card hands is optional so that some of the hands remaining at the end of a game receive payouts based on equity while all other hands receive no payout except the best hand.

Abstract: An interlocking portable rollout attic flooring having a plurality of planks laid in a mutual abutting relationship of side edges of the planks, to define a common longitudinally extensive top and bottom surfaces, the common bottom surface having longitudinally directed notches oriented orthogonal to the side edges. The longitudinally directed notches engaged with spaced apart beams for support and stability of the flooring. The side edges of the planks configured in a mutually overlapping relationship wherein each plank supports a portion of weight applied to each adjacent plank. At least one longitudinally directed flexible strap fixed to the top surface of the flooring to secure the planks in the abutting relationship while allowing the planks to be rolled into a cylindrical configuration.

Abstract: A motor-generator apparatus has a stator and a rotor in a cylindrical arrangement about a central longitudinal axis. The stator has a static circular magnetic surface spaced apart from, a static circular electromagnetic surface. The rotor has a cylindrical arrangement of radially oriented laminations positioned proximal to, and between the static circular magnetic, and the static circular electromagnetic surfaces. The rotor is supported for rotation relative to the stator. A circular arrangement of electromagnets are electrically interconnected for carrying an electrical current for energizing the circular electromagnetic surface which is discontinuous with a plurality of portions gapped apart.

Abstract: A method of mixing liquid waste material in a digester tank by extending a supporting beam between opposing walls of the tank, securing a paddle to the supporting beam, fixturing the paddle for rotation about the supporting beam, securing a pair of inflatable air sacks to the paddle at opposing ends, and selectively inflating and deflating the sacks to force the paddle to tilt in cyclic motion thereby mixing the liquid waste containing bacteria, waste material, and oxygen uniformly throughout the digester tank.
