Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method of leveraging mobile telephone provider assets and distribution network to securely deliver security tokens, such as PKI certificates. The invention is not limited to using a mobile telephony infrastructure and other pre-existing distributions can also be used. In the invention, a user requested security token can be delivered to a storefront associated with a mobile telephone provider. The storefront can be one proximate to a requesting user. An optional activation key can also be conveyed to the requesting user. The requesting user can be required to physically travel to the storefront to receive the security token. At the storefront, an identity of the requesting user can be verified, such as through photo identification. The security token can be provided when the requesting user has been successfully verified. Use of the security token can still require activation involving the activation key.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a data tag device (100) which initially operates in a passive mode where the tag responds to queries (412). While operating passively, an expiration event occurs (512, 514) which causes the tag to disable a battery (110), preventing subsequent operation in the passive mode, resulting in the tag disabling access to the tag data.

Abstract: The present solution can include a method for embedding information contained within a RFID tag into a video. A RFID tag can be loaded with item information specific to a product item. The RFID tag can then be attached to a physical item corresponding to the product item. While the physical item is being recorded, the RFID tag can be simultaneously scanned to obtain the item information automatically. The item information can then be embedded within the video at the time when the physical item is present. A user can view and interact with the generated video in a manner that permits the user to selectively view and/or otherwise utilize the embedded item information. For example, a user can opt to purchase an item appearing in the interactive video.

Abstract: The present invention provides a software based system for end-to-end handling of communication services that includes a set of Web based interfaces. The set of Web interfaces can permit a user to view, search and select a set of communication services of different providers, each service being presented with a real-time price for the service. Contracts can be automatically generated for selected ones of the communication services. The contracts can specify the real-time price for each service. An order status of the communication services can be monitored using the set of Web based interfaces. Invoices can be generated for the communication services. When different providers provide the communication services, a single integrated bill can be provided for services of the different providers. Usages of the communication services can be viewed online by selectable user categories, which decompose into per-user usage entries.

Abstract: The present invention uses a list management server for specifying conference participants in an IMS environment. More specifically, a conference list can be established for a standard list management server. The conference list can be a group list that is identified with a unique public URI. The group list can include multiple members, where each member can be identified by a member URI. Members can be specific participants associated with a user specific URI and/or can be a group of participants. When the conference is initiated, a new communication session can be instantiated and a conferencing application execute. After session instantiation, participants included in the conference list can join the session.

Abstract: A programmatic event related to a meeting can be detected. At least one previous meeting similar to the meeting can be determined. A pattern relating to an application state of a set of at least one computing devices can be ascertained for at least one previous meeting. A difference between a current application state of the set of computing devices and an application state indicated by the ascertained pattern can be determined. The current application state of the set of computing devices can be automatically adjusted to lessen the determined difference.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a server-side collaboration system that includes a set of discussion threads, a server-side software component, and a server-side data store. The discussion threads can be managed by a collaboration session leader. The collaboration session leader can be a user authorized to define the topic, to create the plurality of discussion threads for the topic, and to assign a set of participants to each created discussion thread. The server-side software component can permit remotely located clients to post and view content by discussion thread during a real-time collaboration, which includes a text exchange capability. Client using participants can be restricted to posting content to discussion threads as authorized by the collaboration session leader. The server-side data store can maintain a viewable history of posted content organized by discussion thread.

Abstract: A change in contact information for a communicator can be identified. Contact metrics can be acquired for the communicator. The contact metrics can specify details of communications between the communicator and at least one other party. At least one previously established programmatic rule can be applied to the acquired contact metrics to automatically determine whether each of the parties is a recipient who should be notified of the change in contact information based upon comparing the contact metrics relating to that party and the communicator against at least one previously established threshold. Recipients can be selectively added to a recipient list based upon results of the applied programmatic rule. The recipient list can represent a listing of parties who are to be notified of the change in contact information.

Abstract: The present invention provides a solution that unifies independent data sources into a single data source by hiding one of the data sources in metadata. The non-hidden source, which can reference the hidden source, can be processed by a primary XML processing agent. This agent can initially ignore syntax and semantics of content associated with the hidden source, which is contained within the metadata. A secondary XML processing agent can transform the hidden source into a readable form, which is consumable by the primary processing agent. The primary XML processing agent can receive this readable form as a content stream. The primary XML processing agent can be unaware that the content stream originates from the unified source, which permits the unified source to represent multiple sources while preserving “rules” that typically prohibit multiple data types to be included in a single source.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a solution for providing conditional reminders for electronic messages. The solution can identify an electronic message conveyed from a sender to a recipient, wherein the electronic message is an email message or text exchange message. A software program can determine a response time and a response condition for the electronic message. When the response time expires and when the response condition is unsatisfied, a software program can present a reminder to the sender and/or the recipient, where the reminder indicates that a response is due. When a software program detects a recipient action that satisfies the response condition before the response time expires, no reminder will be presented to either the sender or the recipient.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a solution for bandwidth usage reduction of remote desktop software based on preferred rendering of a user selected area. The solution can allow a user to select a specified region of a remote desktop to gain precedence over non-selected regions. An area preference engine can be configured to convey user preference, settings, and selection areas. Selected regions can be user configured to render with different settings than non-selected regions such as resolution, color depth, frame rate, update frequency, and the like. Non-selected regions can be configured to receive lower priority updates than selected regions.

A WIKI editor can be served to client-side Web browsers so that end-users can utilize WIKI editor functions, which include functions to create and edit speech-enabled WIKI applications. A WIKI server can serve speech-enabled WIKI applications created via the WIKI editor. Each of the speech-enabled WIKI applications can include a link to at least one speech processing engine located in a speech processing system remote from the WIKI server. The speech processing engine can provide a speech processing capability for the speech-enabled WIKI application when served by the WIKI server. In one embodiment, the speech-enabled applications can include an introspection document, an entry collection of documents, and a resource collection of documents in accordance with standards specified by an ATOM PUBLISHING PROTOCOL (APP).

The validation-enhanced text input element can be configured to contain a validation expression for a text field in a Web page. The validation-enhanced text input element can be contained in the source code document that corresponds to the Web page. The input text validator can be configured to validate a character entered into the text field against the validation expression in real-time. Characters determined as invalid can be visually indicated by the input text validator in the text field.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a solution for using menu position indicators to accurately show where an intelligently placed menu will appear. Positioning of menus can automatically vary in the solution depending upon available screen space and an origin point for the menu. A menu position indicator can include a graphical image capable of indicating a direction of the menu appearance, such as an arrow or triangle. The menu position indicator for a menu can change depending upon a position of an origin point and depending upon available screen space for displaying the associated menu. When a position of a main menu changes, calculations can be performed to determine where a submenu of the main menu will be presented, and the menu position indicator can be adjusted accordingly.

Abstract: A solution for handling objects in a nursery heap that includes a garbage collector monitoring engine, a size adjustor program, and/or a promotion program. The garbage collector monitoring engine can monitor occurrences of global garbage collection events performed by a global garbage collector program as well as occurrences of nursery garbage collection events performed by a nursery garbage collector. The size adjustor program can dynamically adjust a size of a nursery heap based upon programmatically deterministic events detected by the garbage collector monitoring engine. The promotion program can dynamically adjust conditions of promotion for nursery objects, wherein when additional space is needed in the nursery heap to reduce nursery garbage collection induced latency, the promotion program changes promotion criteria to ensure objects are promoted more frequently from the nursery heap.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a solution for disposing waste having potentially hazardous airborne emissions. The solution can include a step of receiving waste through an aperture of a disposal unit exhibiting a closed environment. The received waste can be placed within an air tight disposal container. An opening of the disposal container can be sealed to separate the disposal container from the remainder of the substantially closed environment. Air included in the remainder of the substantially closed environment can be captured and placed in a holding unit. The captured air can be ejected from the holding unit into the air tight disposal container. The disposal container containing the received waste and the ejected air can be sealed. The disposal unit can be thereafter opened so that the sealed disposal container is able to be discarded.
