Abstract: An assembly for mailing an article requiring special services and a method for mailing same are provided. The assembly includes a single sheet constructed in such a way that one portion of the sheet provides a label and the other portion provides a return postcard or other special service form for attachment to an envelope in its assembled position. The return postcard is integrally formed, but removably attached, such that the return postcard remains attached to the envelope until received by the addressee, at which time the return postcard may be removed. The assembly is designed to incorporate a form into the return postcard to simplify preparation of the mailpiece for delivery by the special service.
Abstract: A system for mailing an article requiring special services and a method for forming a mailpiece having an interior for carrying an article requiring special services are provided. The system includes an integrally formed envelope and form constructed from a single sheet and folded and sealed in such a way that one portion of the assembly provides an envelope and the other portion provides a return postcard for attachment to the envelope in its assembled position. The parts are integrally formed, but removably attached, such that the return postcard remains attached to the envelope until received by the addressee upon which the return postcard may be removed.
Abstract: A mailing assembly for use in connection with non-domestic delivery of a mailpiece wherein the sender of the mailpiece is required to complete a sender's declaration. The assembly includes a mailing label, a receipt card and a backing sheet. The mailing label and receipt card are detachably connected to each other and form the entirety of the complete mailing form. Such form is, in turn, adhesively connected to the backing sheet having approximately the same size and shape as the form. An adhesive layer is only provided between the mailing label and the backing sheet and not between the receipt card and the backing sheet. The sender provides all the necessary information on the mailing label relating to the contents of the mailpiece being delivered. The sender also completes the receipt card which serves as a declaration in compliance with U.S. Customs' requirements. Upon completion, the receipt card is detached from the mailing label and retained by the U.S. Postal Service for recording purposes.
Abstract: A system and a method for mailing a mailpiece requiring special service delivery is provided as well as a mailpiece that requires delivery by a special service. The assembled mailpiece includes a return postcard and a return envelope independently detachable from a remainder of the mailpiece. The mailpiece may be printed with information to be sent to an addressee by a sender. The sender may receive a return postcard verifying delivery of the mailpiece, and the sender, or another individual, may also receive a remittance in the return envelope also independently detachable from the assembled mailpiece. The assembled mailpiece is formed from a single sheet that may be printed with variable information on both sides of the sheet. The information may relate to the mail handling or to other information to be sent to the individual. The assembly is particularly suitable for special service delivery of mail including return remittance of payment or the like.
Abstract: An assembly for mailing an article requiring delivery by a special service and a method for mailing same are provided. The assembly includes a single sheet constructed in such a way that one portion of the sheet provides a label and the other portion provides a return postcard or other special service form for attachment to an envelope in its assembled position. The sheet includes a backing to which the portions are attached. The backing may include a section that is printable and frozen to the postcard such that the section remains attached to the mailpiece after printing. The return postcard is integrally formed, but removably attached, such that the return postcard remains attached to the envelope until received by the addressee, at which time the return postcard may be removed.
Abstract: A special service mailpiece having at least on integral document section and a method for forming the mailpiece requiring special services is provided. The mailpiece has an integral document section requiring special mailing service and includes a sheet folded into sections along a fold line then sealed to enclose the integral document section. The sheet further has a removably attached section which, after the system is folded and sealed, forms a return postcard and at least one form. The return postcard and the form are integrally formed, but removably attached, such that the return postcard remains attached to the mailpiece until received by the addressee at which time it may be removed.
Abstract: A system is provided for recording, storing and reproducing sound for playing back in an environment requiring simulated sounds, voices, and/or sound effects. Sounds are recorded on a chip and played back in an asynchronous manner from the chip as a result of activation of a switch or inertial movement within the system. A Hall-effect sensor, reed switch or momentary switch or the like may be implemented for enabling activation of the recorded sound from the chip for broadcasting. A compander compresses the sound on the chip and expands the compressed sound for playback. Employing the above system for audio storage, a sound, motor and special effects controller may be created for model train applications as well. The different functions of the sound unit are controlled through a discrete bi-polar digital command control signal using a unique address for each unit. A synchronous means of play back may also be employed when the system is used with the bi-polar signal using a sensor.

Abstract: A method for molding a novelty candle having flat sides incorporating a plurality of defined shapes located at the outer surface of the flat sides of the candle and a method of making same are provided. The method has the steps of: forming a sheet of wax to a desired thickness; heating the sheet of wax to below the melting temperature of the wax; cutting a plurality of shapes from the heated sheet of wax; arranging the plurality of shapes in a mold having an interior defined by flat sidewalls flush against the flat sidewalls and filling the interior of the mold with wax. In another embodiment, a novelty candle having a tree-like wax ornamentation on the surface thereof and a method of making same are also provided.
Abstract: A digital and analog reception apparatus includes a first mixer (MIX1) which converts up a reception signal having an input frequency fa inputted into an input terminal IN and a second mixer (MIX2) which converts down a first intermediate frequency fc of a signal outputted from the first mixer (MIX1) by using a second local frequency fd and a second intermediate frequency fe. The apparatus is also provided with a phase-locked loop (PLL), an automatic frequency controller (AFC) which comprises a second local oscillator and a low frequency band pass filter unit LPF adjusts a second local frequency fd, and a microcomputer discriminates an analog/digital distinction of the reception signal having the input frequency fa. Upon receiving an analog signal, the digital and analog reception apparatus deactivates a low-pass filter unit LPF, thereby having an AFC signal control a second local oscillator.
Abstract: An antenna unit and a receiver having such an antenna are disclosed. The antenna includes an antenna body; a first antenna provided on the antenna body for receiving signals transmitted from satellites; at least one second antenna provided on the antenna body for receiving signals transmitted over the earth; a mixer provided in the antenna body for mixing or combining the signals received by the first and second antennas to output the mixed signals as a single output. Further, the receiver includes, in addition to these elements of the antenna unit, a signal separating device for separating the mixed signals into the signal received by the first antenna and the signal received by the second antenna, respectively and then outputting them; and a single cable which connects the mixer and the single separating device to supply the mixed signals thereto.
