    Abstract: An electrophotographic photoreceptor according to the present invention has a photosensitive layer comprising a bis-azo compound represented by the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein K.sup.1 and K.sup.2 are independently a coupling ingredient residue with a hydroxy group which has a coupling activity;R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group or a halogen atom.
