  • Patent number: 5174566
Abstract: A mirror has a diagram of preferred movements and a practicing person, such as a golfer practicing a proper golf swing which is diagrammed on the mirror, stands in front of the mirror and follows the diagram. The diagram has lines to be followed, for example, 2 straight vertical lines 1 and 2 for locating the person, intersecting straight angled lines 4 and 5 intersecting each other and the lines 1 and 2 and a diagonal line 3 intersecting the lines 1, 2, 4 and 5 for guiding the swing. The diagram may be a decal on the mirror, a removable clear plastic sheet attached to the mirror, or indicated directly on the mirror by paint, crayon, and the like. The person can be provided with written or private instructions, or a video tape.

  • Patent number: 5076396
Abstract: A hydraulic master unit is mounted on the rail and has a master cylinder in which is mounted a plunger to be contacted by the wheel of the train. A master cylinder piston is driven against the compression of a cylinder spring inside the master cylinder body in which there is confined hydraulic fluid leading through a hydraulic line, through a hydraulic bulkhead assembly fitting and thence to a grease pump slave unit comprising a hydraulic grease pump piston operating against a grease pump spring inside of the grease pump housing in which there is a chamber confining the hydraulic fluid with the piston for operation to pump grease through the grease discharge and to draw grease from the grease container back into the slave cylinder and through a grease pump inlet valve against a grease pump inlet valve spring and so on in repetition in response to the contact of the master cylinder plunger by the train wheel.

  • Patent number: 5062495
Abstract: A rigid motorcycle frame comprises a pair of spaced swingarms attached to a shock absorber which comprises a shock absorber casing or housing pivotally mounted on the swingarms and having a shock absorber rod which is pivotally attached to the motorcycle frame at a point below the housing whereby the movement of the rear wheel of the motorcycle causes the outer housing of the shock absorber to move upwardly relative to the shock absorber, rod which is attached to the motorcycle frame and which is opposite from the normal operation of a shock absorber. The shock absorber may include a spring means and/or hydraulic means to provide the usual resistance provided by a cushioning arrangement. In operation swing arms are moving downwardly the shock absorber moves its mounting points closer together which is different from most shock absorbers which move their mounting points further apart.

  • Patent number: 4957671
Abstract: A method for manufacturing plastic products from moldable plastic materials, involving the efficient use of a press and a mold is disclosed. The method includes heating the press and the mold to a temperature above the melt temperature of the plastic material, with the mold then being removed from contact with the press and with the press being applied to a replicate mold. The press is utilized so as not to apply pressure to the plastic material and the mold is preferably formed of a light weight material having high heat conductivity.

  • Patent number: 4914862
Abstract: A spring loaded safety member is pivotally mounted against a coil spring seated within the channel of a standard pulley and spring system which has been moved slightly in the channel. The safety member comprises sharp teeth and is normally retracted in the channel with a curved portion around a pin extending laterally therethrough. Upon failure of the cord or spring of the standard window system the safety member suddently pivots outwardly under spring pressure to engage the inner wall of the window frame.

  • Patent number: 4885968
Abstract: Mounting of the circularly fitted inserted tooth of a circular saw. An inserted tooth (4) having a circular mounting surface is mounted on a blade body (1) and into a round-bottomed notch whose opposite edges are parallel. Tooth (4) is locked in the notch by means of a rivet (6) which is positioned in a juncture between the removable tooth and the blade body along a straight portion of the edge of a notch. Such locking facilitates a strong design for said tooth and even a loose tooth can be re-tightened in position by means of the flattening pressure of said rivet.

  • Patent number: 4829645
Abstract: An elongated, cylindrical metal sleeve has a soft cylindrical, elastomer cover. A shaft is mounted through the core in a bearing slip-fitted in each end and held in place by a snap ring on one end snapped into the metal sleeve and on the other end by a circular collar having a protruding tooth or dog, which is press-fitted into the metal sleeve and slides into the keyway in the shaft. A collar is fitted on each end of the shaft to limit the amount of oscillation of the roller. The ends of the shaft are mounted on a printing press in a bearing cup or some other way.
