Abstract: This invention relates generally to poly(aryl ether ketones) bearing alkylated side chains. It relates particularly to soluble, thermally stable, low dielectric poly(aryl ether ketones) with alkylated side chains and especially to films and coatings thereof. These poly(aryl ether ketones) have the following structural formula:
wherein Y is selected from the group consisting of CF3 and CH3; and wherein R is CnH(2n+1) and n=11-18.
